Wonderful place. Was a bit surprised it was so close to the bus station...but it turned out that was only a positive thing. Very convenient for the historic centre and getting away for trips out. No noise or disturbance at all. Very friendly helpful staff, one girl has excellent English, and the others were very tolerant of our terrible attempts at Portugese. Great breakfasts and chance to watch hummingbirds in the courtyard. Clean room, comfy beds (plural!) flat screen tv, and even a charming. kaikki arvostelut »
Viva Brasil is a new bed and breakfast that is heading in the right
direction. The owners/staff are very helfpful and polite. It is
clean and comfortable with good security and parking for cars. The
remodeling is still ongoing, so eventually it will have additional
amenities. The breakfast is good, with several options. It is 3 blocks
away from the colonial zone of Paraty where no vehicles are allowed and
also close to the main bus station.
I loved this Pousada. The staff were all lovely and helpful, and one lady used to live in London so spoke very good English. The breakfast was good, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the location was right near the bus station and the old town, but on a quiet street. I also loved Paraty - the old town was gorgeous and there was a wonderful atmosphere. There was a festival on the Friday night as well which all the locals went to too.
The hostess is incredibly friendly and helpful. She helped us plan our day trips to beaches and waterfalls easily and her English is great. The Pousada is really well located, has a cute garden, good sized rooms and great breakfast. We wish we could go back already.
Good location, close to the historical centre of Parati and next to the bus station. The rooms are big and clean, bathrooms as well. The daughter is very kind and friendly and she speaks english very well (it's an exception in Brasil). Breakfast is good.
Brilliant place to stay! Absolutely clean, and the staff (owners) are great and friendly. Breakfast was good too. We went during a low season, since the pousada wasn't full they offered us an upgrade to a higher standard room.
Practically located next to the bus station (even if the map from
booking com was a little inaccurate). Short walk to the historical town
and beaches. Excellent help from the manager in all practical matters.
The staff spoke english and were very friendly and helpful. The place was very cute and very clean. Breakfast was great and I really enjoyed staying at this place :).
Friendly staff, extensive breakfast, very centrally located only two blocks from the bus station and three blocks from the historic center. Very reasonably priced.

Friendly personell; nice house and garden; fairly central location.
Room, very clean and comfortable. Very quiet relaxing atmosphere.
very nice pousada with excellent friendly nice staff, thanks.
I cannot judge.
- The pousada was clean
- The staff was friendly and really helpful in case of questions
- Breakfast was nice
- Very close to the bus station.
- Clean, Confortable, Good location.
The location is in a business section of town which is rapidly changing
for the better. Some noise from businesses is inevitable during
weekdays. Considering that the objective of staying here should be to
sleep, eat breakfast and then explore, this is not a show stopper.
We had a power cut while we were there which meant that we couldn't have a shower that night after getting in from the beach, but the Pousada was well prepared with LED torches in every room and throughout the communal areas so we were able to see fine. The power cut was out of the staffs control and they were in the same predicament as us.
Only some noise from cars in the morning.
Wifi a bit laggy.
Not the fault of the poussada, but the beaches close by all have rather
muddy water. To be able to swim in clean water you have to take a
boattrip further out.
Since we had two days of rain in Paraty it would have been nice to have somewhere to sit in the room. A table and two chairs instead of the third bed would do.
Nothing.
No entry before 2, would not answer the door to drop bag off so had to cart it around for hours which is not only inconvenient but makes you any easy target. Note it is located just (5 mins walk) out of the historic area by the bus stop, Paraty seems perfectly safe though even out of the center, unlike some other towns.
Be careful with Viva Brasil pousada. I booked a room there two months ago and then a week before of my stay they wrote me an e-mail asking me to cancel my reservation.
The letsbookhotel.com's custormer care centre (the French one, I received calls from +33) did not help a lot, as they offered me other pousadas but of inferior quality... I had to find a pousada in Paraty by myself and in fact I found a very good one, at a very good price and outside letsbookhotel.com!.
- The pousada is located in a darker spot, slightly remote from the old city centre.
- None.
