This hostel is conveniently located in the heart of Olinda, near the sea and historical attractions such as the Bonfim Church. It offers a pool, a barbecue area and free Wi-Fi and parking. - Clean rooms - Nice colors - Area to wash your clothes and to dry them - Close to the buses that go to Recife. Clearly the HI took one look at the swimming pool and hang out area which was good 20 yrs ago and approved this place without staying there. - A little bit noisy (street with many cars) - Not very central - Staff not very talkative. Rooms are very old, expensive (120 for double in low season), in a unsafe area of Olinda (although nearby carpark party is cool for one night), no english, no hot water...pretty much the same as many other brazilian 'hostels', terrible bed/pillow...etc.
