Location was fantastic. We could easily walk to many places including for eating and swimming. Room was a good size and had a lovely outlook onto the palms and garden. Gentleman at reception was very helpful. Great to have parking available under the building. Pool is small but sparkling and the outlook from the bbq area over to the beach is lovely. Would definitely stay there again. We stayed at the Waters Edge for six nights. The location was excellent very close to fantastic restaurants and we had a fantastic view from our room. The room was clean and comfortable. Having the small kitchen was very good. The staff where excellent. I would certainly stay there again and recommend the room to anyone going to Townsville.
kaikki arvostelut » The room was large & comfortable, with the two twin beds made into one king sized. Staff was friendly, helpful & unobtrusive. While our room was not ready due to us arriving early, which we expected & were prepared for, the lady who greeted us phoned us as soon as it was available. Very much appreciated. Waters Edge was convenient to TECC, and great food and drink. There was great little cafés and bars all along the strand and the walk was a pleasure along the esplanade with mature trees and cool sea breezes, we enjoyed these features from our room as well. All the facilities we needed for our stay were there. The location is great to relax/walk or just watch the world pass you by. The staff were great and we will stay again when we are in Townsville and need accommodation. Superb position on the Strand.underground parking keeps car cool. Well equipped studio room, comfy bed,modern bathroom. Good size pool. Minutes from restaurants/takeaways/supermarket and bottle shop. The location was good, being on The Strand, and we paid a little bit extra for a room with a sea view, but it was still excellent value at $139.00 per night. The room was spacious and spotless. just love the atmosphere around the strand, view is great from waters edge and close to eating areas,also being able to just walk out your door and go for a stroll along the beautiful strand. It was just ideal location for us to stay and enjoy Townsville. Everything was good and seemed to be working well. The staff were friendly which made us really enjoy our stay. Heaps of parking, lift to all floors. Lovely view from the front water-view rooms. Good central location on The Strand, great range of coffee shops, etc within a short walk. The staff were very friendly & the location to all the necessary facilties was well within walking distance. Very friendly place & would highly recommand the motel. Sunsets from the balcony overlooking the Strand and Cleveland Bay. Closeness to the Coffee Club for meals and coffee. Covered and secure car parking. Comfortable furniture. proximity to beach, the Strand, facilities, harbour, shops, etc, all in good walking distance, gate way to wet tropics. That there were little cafe,s close by, and shops all within walking distance. Your staff were helpful and friendly. A great location. The floor was a hard surface, which is great for the tropics, but not for beds with casters! The bathroom needed updating- old style with chipped tiles. I wouldnt say didnt really liked but the dryer gave us a bit of run around trying to find someone who would show us what to do. We were then referred to the front desk which we got help right away. We later realised that we had to turn it very hard before it got started. Otherwise all good. Shower over bath - handheld but the angle couldn't be adjusted so it was difficult to shower under. There was nothing I didn't like. We had a sea view, but unfortunately it was blocked out by trees, we were on level 2. maybe level 3 would have been better. We still enjoyed our stay. When the unit door unexpectedly closed behind me I was locked out. The balcony area wasn't cleaned by the cleaner ....tea stains there. *Same towels for 5 days...At home I refresh our towels after 3 days *Option of a warmer blanket. The WIFI was painfully slow unless you sat out by the pool making it too noisy to Skype. Hallway carpets need to be cleaned or replaced. Limited tv stations - no music videos and no dedicated sport channels. nothing. Beds were not comfortable for more then one night. Should also be a queen for the size of the room. Kitchen not suitable for cooking. Nothing. the bed. I liked everything. No fly screens. The rooms are a little dated but good value for money. Limited breakfast. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. nothing. Very small balcony. Not very welcoming. Limited cutlery etc. The late night early morning swimmers!. The lift at he Motel. Shower facility in the room. Pillows were terrible, we ended up putting towels underneath them to give them support. thought the bathroom could do with a spruce up, needed some where to put soap and hair products while showering. entry/exit to motel. Check-Out staff abit cranky ?.
