  The hot water in the shower was really hot and the pressure was good too. I could open the window to get some fresh air. I didn't realise the staff had openned it as the curtains were drawn. We only knew that it was cold and we needed extra blankets from the cupboard. I like the choice of fresh air or not. It is rare to find an - We arrived very late due to airline delays but the young man on reception was most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We had a compact/budget room that was far better than I expected (having read some negative reviews) and it really was great value for money. Didn't have a car so no need to worry about the carpark. We had no noise issues and had amazing views. Very clean, very comfy beds/pillows, great location as it was just a short walk to the CBD and Salamanca.

I also found the food in the restaurant of an unusually high standard and a perfect and warming way to end my day after intense and pressured days to achieve things necessary to set up my new life in Tasmania before I was due to return to the mainland. The hot water was nearly instant. There was a separate area for relaxing / having breakfast. The poached eggs & bacon I had was better that most an very well presented. Parking was not a problem. I'm told by locals that the onsight restaurant is well regarded.

Service on check in was excellent with advice about delivery of meals from external restaurant welcome as we didn't wish to go out.   We were upgraded (from a studio to a larger suite). However the accommodation was great. Very roomy and everything you needed was there. Great value for money and I would definitely stay there again. Compared to our other stay in Burnie (Wellers Inn) it was chalk and cheese. And the Wellers Inn was much more expensive. Staff were extremely helpful, and friendly. - Manager was very friendly and helpful, the facilities were excellent in value, clean and modern considering the age of the building.
