  Absolutely on the waterfront with pelicans, ducks landing just outside the window if you ask for a waterfront room. Good selection of local eateries and great places to visit nearby. - Amazing views and very comfortable bed. Retro 1960s decor. Quiet and peaceful.

  Owner could not have been more helpful. Although things like the kitchen units were not modern they were very well maintained and clean. This is just the right sort of place to relax after a days hiking/sight seeing. Interesting wild-life which the owner cared about. - I liked the cleanliness and the friendliness of the hosts.   The owners of the hostel have been super nice to us, allowing me to drop the booking and stay only 3 out of 4 days I booked. The place is really close to the ferry wharf and it is just a perfect base to start your adventure in ki! Clean. All facilities were handy. The owner was accomodating and charged no fee even though we've got a mess due to confusion with all our bookings and did not cancell some days at this hostel.   Unfortunately there was a mix-up with the backpackers in receiving my online reservation, however the staff member rectified this by upgrading my stay to a larger room with an ensuite which I was grateful for.
