We enjoyed our brief stay here. It was dark, cold and wet when we arrived but got a lovely welcome and a nice room. It is old fashioned but that doesn't take anything away from it as that is its charm. It's clean and we had plenty of room. A lovely breakfast and some chat with the owners and other guess made s sorry we had to dash for the ferry. The owners Sue and Peter made me feel very welcome and did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable. Great value for money, across the road from lighthouse and beach. 2 min walk to shops and cafes, loved the tennis court and swimming pool as well as bbq area. Will def stay again! Best stay I have ever had!.

The location was excellent and we liked the historic building and its history. The extras available such as high tea on Saturday afternoon and the board games in the sitting room. Rob & Cheryl great hosts, they were minding the property for their brother. So friendly made us feel like part of their family without being intrusive. Lots of local info, heater on in room when we arrived, fantastic breakfast , nothing was too much trouble, sorry to leave. Words can not express how strongly I feel about this guesthouse and their owners Sue and Peter who do everything to ensure a great stay. Amazing location, comfy beds, lovely decorated rooms, tennis court and pool. Just the best accommodation I have ever stayed at in Australia!. Spacious aitting, dining room etc - not obliged to stay in little own room as at motel. Friendly staff, wanting to find e.g. places to eat not just leave you to it (though I didnlt use the reco I appreciated the trouble taken) Brillient location. We had a large quiet room, comfortable, well priced, good continental breakfast, a chance to enjoy the adjacent area and lighthouse. Close to Queenscliff for restaurants and Saturday market. Excellent value for money. The old world ambience was terrific and the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Great to have a guest kitchen and games room and the facilities were very good-a pool, games room and common lounge. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was obvious that effort had been made to create a relaxing environment which catered for all types of guests. We liked the fact that you could use their facilities, eg: the kitchen, games room, lounge. It was nice having breakfast available each day, & the Friday night meal option. Perhaps a little dated but very comfortable and great value. The restaurant seems to have greater potential than reflected in its current range of meals. Only complaint was stay was not long enough to enjoy tennis court, pool and Basil's Bar for cocktails. The guest house itself was very much in need of loving care even though clean. Our motel room was tiny. N/A. very small room that needs some tlc no place to hang your clothes apart from hooks on wall. no complaints. Lack of hanging space. WE had good clothes to wear to a wedding. Room was not as nice as pictured on this website. all good. Not very usable in cold months since the external part is not usable and there is not a living-room area. That our stay was not longer!. Nothing... it was great Value for Money. Pleasantly surprised with the room, although it was quite small for the price. Poor tv reception. Bathroom too small to manouevre in, perhaps instead of the cupboard where fridge was should have been either toilet/shower recess. No dresser or anywhere to put clothes either only chairs. Nothing comes to mund. Lack of wardrobes Old styl ewood panelling. i didn't like that the pool was dirty and the kids couldn't enjoy it. The electric clock could not be reset for the correct time. It was a bit poor to be charged for a 2 room suite when we had only booked a double room. We thought you could have understood that and charged us $140 instead of $180. Otherwise, ti was good. Small room with view of roof only. noisy (kids running up and down stairs till about 11pm could hear people walking on floor above. Room was exceptionally small. Very small rooms and bathroom A bit outdated.
