  After living in crowded, dirty and run down hostels for 4 months I decided to take a break between travelling and stay in my own room with bathroom for 2 nights. It was heavenly! Room perfect for solo traveller. Room nice and cool (with good air conditioner) and 'dark' for sleeping which tops my list for a quick, relaxing, - The Motel had everything I needed. It was close to Roma St. Station and easy walking to and around the cbd. It was air conditioned, had a comfortable bed and good shower facilities. Everything I needed. Top marks to the staff, very courteous.

This is a great spot to explore from. We enjoyed being almost across the road from Rom - The first time I stayed at Abbey apartments I booked a superior room but it was absolutely disgusting. Shocking! So this time I asked to make sure I really had a superior room as each time I paid extra for it. This time my room was lovely. Great value for money. Lovely furnishings, dishwasher, dryer,and washing machine. I appreciated that the improved things for me this time. I liked that the heating and cooling was so easy to control and fab location.

  Location is very good, close to South Bank and City centre but in a quiet area. Apartment was clean, well equipped and with free wi-fi we could find and book what we wanted in Brisbane ( including the internet booking of city cycles that can then be taken from the cycle stand at the park, across the road .) I appreciated the ashtrays on the balcony and that the staff didn't play shame-the- smoker. I only spoke to the gentleman at the desk, but can't remember his name - sorry! But thanks for a lovely albeit short stay. I also liked the parking and that we weren't charged an arm and a leg for it.

  Cleanest and most modern hostel I've ever stayed in. The place has clearly been renovated/upgraded recently and it's lovely. I was really impressed. The room ac had heat and cool, which is apparently rare in Australia where most ac usually only cools a room. The restaurant was very well priced (eating out is always expensive in Oz) and the food was very good. - The service from Peter the manager was excellent. When we arrived there, my girlfriend was ill, he made a couple of phonecalls to doctors free of charge. When we got back at the hostel, he saw that my girlfriend was still not feeling better, so he upgraded our double room to a better room away from all the noise from the reception. Thanks a lot for this excellent service Peter and the rest of the staff!

  A couple of things could do with a lick of paint here and there, but we were entirely satisfied with our stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, very hot water and lots of it. Nice to sit on the balcony. Everything we needed was within a short walking distance. Docs, hospitals, banks, eateries, and the city.   This is such a gorgeous cosy house! Brilliant location ten mins from the south bank. Everyone that stayed there the same time as us were all really friendly. No late noise or traffic noise. The house is lovely and our room (10) was brill, very cute almost like staying at your nans house, lovely extras as well such as free Internet. We checked in very late at night but the managers were very thoughtful and made sure we had no trouble getting in. The location is excellent. We also used the free bikes and went on a very nice early morning bike ride. Very happy with our stay.
