Each of the air conditioned guest rooms offers a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV and a DVD player. Each includes a private bathroom featuring European stainless steel fittings and glass and sandstone walls. Some bathrooms also offer a free-standing spa bath. Guests can enjoy a drink at The IXL Long Bar and fresh local produce is on the menu at Henry's Restaurant. The glass-covered courtyard offers a café-style menu. We like everything about Henry Jones. This hotel has great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, a high quality onsite restaurant, a great atrium area for inclement weather, a fabulous bar. The hotel design is first rate, and the decor is in the best of taste. The hotel is ideally situated on the Hobart waterfront, with wonderful views...even Mt Wellington could be seen from our room. We cannot recommend the Henry Jones highly enough. Five stars.

I will certainly recommend the Henry jones as a place to stay when in tassie to my friends... The rooms. 226 was fantastic, view of roof tops, but with lovely light and sunshine. second stay in 215 showed us the structure of the building and we had a view of the harbour. Great front desk service. Rooms very clean and lovely amenities in the bathrooms. Car parking as efficient. Loved everything. Especially all the art work amongst the old original building materials. Staff were amazing. Especially on finding out we were just engaged and delivering a complimentary bottle of champagne for us to enjoy. Valet parking brilliant. The artwork in all the rooms and corridors; helpful and friendly staff;excellent, extremely comfortable room; huge bathroom w spa;several eating/drinking options all extremely good;closeness to shops/cafes/market in Salananca Square. Loved the hotel design, artwork and location. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Very friendly and helpful concierges provided some great information. The Henry Restaurant is sensational. very helpful staff unfortunately my wife was very unwell which was very sad as we were looking forward to this night interstate with no children for weeks. lovely welcome and very accommodating. .Unusual and inspiring interior design of the hotel .excellent dinner . central location with good shops close by .great to stay in a hotel with a different ambience. The decoration of the public rooms was ok, very modern but without much feeling. The rooms were similar. The staff were particularly helpful. The food in the main restaurant was very good but not exceptional. I loved the area that the hotel is in. Staff very helpfull Good breakfast. design and artwork. Low water pressure in 226 but it was right at the top. Learn how to cook soft poached eggs. Nothing we didn't enjoy. There was nothing we didn't like. Little niggles - the rooms are quite dark and the heavy wooden blinds make them darker. The other cafe next to the art gallery (not Jam Packed) had a poor quality breakfast - slow and undercooked. .Having to wait a long time for cocktails to arrive before dinner .hot water in shower was not constant. Nothing. Lack of sufficient and convenient wardrobe/hanging space. almost nothing but poor quality spa and trouble with hot water in shower sometimes. Cleaning staff knocking on door 3 times between 9am & 9.45am despite being asked to come back in 45 minutes. Most annoying as we were not checking out that morning (monday 11 March), we simply wanted to have a slower start to the day. Need to check on room maintenance as heavy glass door to bathroom was difficult to move as it had "dropped" and dragged on carpet. Advised housekeeping. Not a criticism, but TV seemed less than standard expected (I watched the US Tennis Open and the ball left a "trail", i.e. old technology). Nothing not to like about the place itself...but it was overpriced. Possibly a little over-priced compared to equivalent accomodation in Australia; Also the website does not fully explain all the services/amenities available e.g. gym. A little expensive. Room was a little warm, even when the air con was adjusted. Rooms on top floor are not adequately heated. The grout of the shower base was dirty, and some tiles were broken and chipped. Very poor especially when it was in a Deluxe suite and priced accordingly. Only 1 dressing gown with booking for 2. No disposable slippers and the carpet was stained and dirty at the bar fridge. Disappointing. noise of people walking in room above ours, variable friendliness and professionalism of staff. nothing. room service is very expensive and a not very inspired. glass shower screen not wide enough: should extend along at least 400mm further to prevent water swamping floor. it was dark. noise. The single beds joined as one is no right for the price. There was no bedside table for holding watches, books or water glass. In our room(105) the reading lights did not work and I didn't even realise there were any until I complained. We used rather bright downlighters which were not good enough. The shower was very difficult to manage as the flow of hot and cold water was erratic. One window sill was dirty and chipped. For so expensive an hotel I was frankly disappointed in these aspects. Even though I received discount rates I still felt that it was expensive for what it really is. Cramped and cold atmosphere in bar. No full length mirror in easy view. 1.Hot water was not hot enough and sometimes cold 2. For this price there should have been slippers for each adult 3. somewhat overpriced compared to equivalent eg Intercontinental Sydney.
