We stayed in Hedge Cottage, aptly named because of the high hedge at the front and side, ensuring maximum privacy. This is a nicely renovated period home, divided into separate apartments. We enjoyed the spacious rooms and the homely feel. Definitely good value . Clean, modern, well designed, lovely view of Hobart, well-equipped kitchen, good heating/air conditioning. Excellent location for trips into the city as well as for trips to Mt. Wellington and the Huon Trail. Responsive hosts.

It is a quiet street, didn't hear much local traffic at all. The view from our apartment was great. The room had all the basic needs for a family or a couple getting away for a few days. This is a wonderful old charm home with all the mod cons. All the facilities you could ask for. Extremely clean and comfortable in a very quiet location yet so close to the CBD. Great location, beautiful fittings & fixtures, good supply of towels & basic condiments. Owners contactable & happy to answer our queries. We felt at home and the place was clean and comfortable. Spacious and well equipped to meet all our needs. I highly recommend this place. It is a beautiful, peaceful, clean and comfortable home. Could not fault it. Great value for money. Though the Salad Bowl was a great shop to have close by. self contained well appointed air con outside seating area views over 'burbs to bridge. Great place to stay.. Beds comfy chairs good. nice TV etc. It is in a quiet spot and yet still central and close to shops & restaurants. Location was great and quiet. View, perfect Space was great and was comfortable. very nice place very cosy and felt homely as soon as we walked in. It's like home away from home feeling. The cleanliness, space and location. location, nice studio. Spacious room with large kitchen. Place was clean and kitchen was well appointed. Modern with everything that you need. On arrival, we unpacked and decided to have a coffee and relax in the lounge room. Maybe an oversight, but there was no coffee , only tea bags and no milk provided. Which meant we had to go out again to buy these basic commodities. No a thing except we couldnt stay longer. Fold out bed very uncomfortable & in 2nd bedroom the bed moved alot because of the wheels on wooden floor. No Oven but does have cooktop and microwave. Useful if you could have provided better directions as our tourist map only named the larger roads so the cottage was a little difficult to find. Also instructions for cooker would have been useful. no milk in fridge narrow driveway. Parking was down a small lane needed both of us to get out so singles may find it challenging Hobart mostly very hilly so walking difficult for my elderly husband. I have no complaints whatsoever. nothing. Another toilet would come in nicely. No BBQ or recycle bin. fridge was so cold it destroyed all our lovely organic fruit; upstairs sound is very loud on the roof (sounds like a football game, not good to get to sleep). Apartment was located on the corner of ground floor which is more like an auxiliary room to the house. People walking (tramping) upstairs can be heard everyday which is rather unpleasant. Also, there's only 1 bathroom to share between 4 persons. sleeps 7 I don't consider a sofa to count as a bed one child had to sleep on the floor in parents bedroom No plug for the bath House was freezing with no heating in bedrooms or lounge Beds were very hard and uncomfortable Not suitable for young children. We could not sleep due to the people above us walking up and down till the early mornings. You can hear every footstep above you and it ruined our stay.
