lovely decor smoking available on balcony requested high level floor and received it, chose to not pursue their upgrade offer of an ocean view in a renovated room. friendly helpful reception staff. Good location,nice staff.Cheap.Comfortable beds.Room clean.Bathroom clean,just dated and a bit shabby. Location was perfect. Close to the city attractions, close to "the Worlds" .

The fact that you open up sea breeze door and a torrent of seabreeze air flys through the whole unit like a good cold blowing airconditioner. Its old, its great and very much like a beach house. Two fridges were supburb. The two room apartment was fantastic using them as one unit. Will definitly come back to stay at this place, old but kool and clean. Location was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Needed the Maintenance Man a few times it he was a pleasure to deal with. It was within walking distance of the heart of Surfers Paradise. View was worth a million dollars. Beds comfortable and clean. Good value for money Friendly staff. location & view. location and staff. The location was close ti the beach and all facilities. Nothing. unfortunately mid renovations.... noisy air con old furniture stacked on tennis court interrupting view.. no tissues in bathroom no minibar no pressure in shower. Needs some serious up -dating.Toilets/changing area behind needed attention.Shabby cupboards in room over fridge. The couch in our apartment(s) were too uncomfortable to sit on, even for a short time. Very old room, however, priced so well you can overlook it for a short stay! No microwave in room was a bummer. Fixtures in rooms need updating. old building with some odour occasinally- needs deodourisation. The whistling through the doors with high pitch squeeches and no way of avoiding as doors didnt seal at all, that we had to keep them open 2 Inches to stop the noice but had to sleep with high winds into this room, didnt sleep well if any at all. Needs a re-vamp - very tired. The balcony doors wouldn't shut properly, the ceiling leaked near the door that looked like rust spots on roof that leaked through onto the tiles below. I think the photos were airbrushed of the rooms on the site!. The hotel is getting old and need improvements. The frig in the room only had one space bar on the door, so you couldn't put bottles on the doors and the lounge is so uncomfortable to sit on. Elevator very scary. Kept stopping. Decor, very dated. Rooms were in desperate need of an update. Doesnt cost much to give them a coat of paint and updated curtains. Tv. As we had ticked Cable tv expected to see live sport in Australia. Only got American sport and music and not much else. No local tv either. Building is old and would need a face lift. No shampoo in the bathroom. very poor accommodation. No reception after hours no place to leave key when checking out early. needed work. The room wasnt as advertised on the internet the pictures were especially missleading. The doors lock didnt work properly meaning we couldnt lock the door. The air conditioning didnt work. The room smelt. All furniture and appliances were very dated. As I was booking in several people were complaining about other rooms, as I was only staying the one night I decided to stay thinking it couldnt be that bad. It wasnt unstayable but I will not be returning again. Hotel was old and grubby. Wifi was ridiculously overpriced. Restaurant was only open in the morning unlike advertisement leads you to believe. Really a backpacker hotel but with a heftier price. Curtains weren't dark enough Had to ring up reception when arrived to room as no power Also they didn't tell you that to turn air con on that there was a main switch. Had no wording on it. The lift broke down. We herd it broke down 2 week prior to us arriving. Customer service wasn't great at all. Was very disappointed as it was meant to be a relaxing birthday weekend. ancient equipment. Shower did not work mould on windows dusty and not vacumed door to balcony wouldnt close properly leaving an irritating whistling noise from the wind old 10inch T.v with no remote cracked bathroom tiles with dirt and grime everywhere elevators not operating so had to carry heavy luggage up to 12 floor needs serious renovating as everything is just plane old. Everything else very noisy surrounded by drunk people banging doors down the sliding door to balcony didn't even lock a very bad experience. Bathroom too small. Worst standard of accomodation I've ever stayed in if it looked like that on internet would never had booked and staff were none respondent . I thought I had a microwave/oven in my room as I bought food with me that I couldn't heat.The kettle had to be filled by standing under the shower the bowl in bathroom not deep enough. Restaurant in the foyer had closed down. Repair work being done near my room. Customer service wasnt very good. The resort was abit run down. the whole experience staying there. Never will stay there again, disgusting... so not used to this. Felt like a paupers hotel. the room was cold, bed was uncomfortable. the room looked cheap and was falling apart. there was a unusual smell in the room. it was not clean. I will never ever stay there again and also will never suggest it to any of my friends or family. Dirty Extremely noisy Stayed on high level lift broken had to carry luggage up 16 levels.
