The lodge has more than 20 walking trails to suit every level of fitness. Recognised as one of Tasmania’s best dining experiences, the Highland Restaurant offers fine dining in a relaxed setting. Guests can enjoy a game of pool or relax by the fire at The Tavern Bar & Bistro. Each cabin includes a gas or wood fire, minibar, coffee table and comfortable armchairs. Luxury suites featuring a spa bath and private veranda with outdoor furniture are also available.

We were there for 2 nights. Omg location, location, location, Breathtaking view, easy access to Cradle Mt. Our room was clean and climate control was so good. Always comfortable no matter what time of the day or night. (I've stay at some high end hotels where you either need extra blanket or you would suffocate) Staff are fantastic, helpful friendly and nothing was too much trouble,From the front deck, to guide and waiting staff) 5 star service through and through. kaikki arvostelut » Loved our stay. The beauty of the pristine environment was amazing. The variety of the walking trails were fabulous and infrastructure really well done. The food and friendly staff assistance was really great at the restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. I bought a relaxation cd (was in our room) from the shop and wanted to also purchase another. Canyou advise how I can do this?. The rooms in the pencil pine chalet were very comfortable and warm. The gas log fire added warmth as well as charm. The guest lounge was fantastic and we enjoyed sitting around the open fire playing board games and eating our casual meals from the bistro. The buffet breakfast was excellent with great choices and very pleasant staff. The walks around the chalet were well signposted and maintained. My partner and myself really loved our suite with spa . So old style cabin outside yet so modern inside it was a great mix. The animals on the porch were really cool and the service was amazing . Best holiday we have had in a long time and we will defiantly be back and recommending this location to others . Thanks for a very relaxing stay. Great lodge and cabin style accommodation at the very entrance to Cradle Mountain national park. We had a room with a king size bed, view over mossy trees and a little brook. Also a bath which was ideal after an all day walk, and log fire and gas heater, great to have both options. Wildlife everywhere, unbelievable scenery and walks. We all enjoyed our visit to the Tasmanian Devil sanctuary next door to the Lodge.The lodge is moments from the Park and the Dove Lake Circuit is one of the most breathtaking walks I've ever been on. We didn't want to leave. I took a contemporary spa cabin in the end (I think) which was warm and comfortable. Loved the fact that the fire place was ready to go. Lots of great walks nearby. You really can't get closer to the National Park that is Cradle Mountain. Location location. Very helpful and friendly reception staff. Picturesque surrounds. Large restaurant, bar and lounge with relaxed atmosphere. Exceptional breakfast buffet. Very comfortable and private cabins. Would highly recommend to others and return. We felt at home and comfortable and really liked that fact that we had no phone reception or television. Dining options were much better than expected and it was nice to sit in the guest lounge at night enjoying the fire and a drink. Chocolate & peanut butter fondant was amazing! The bar areas where you could lounge and read a book or have a glass of red in front of the fire were so impressive. The day spa was beautiful & Victoria so very helpful. Great location to chill out after a inspiring day exploring the walking tracks and majestic views. The friendliness of the staff , the log fire and old leather chairs set the scene for an enjoyable stay. Any room with a wood fire is going to be good, but this was better. The rooms were immaculate, the service was first class in terms of staff friendliness and local knowledge. The food was also delicious. everything..what an amazing place the staff friendly and very helpful...the cabin was so roomy and cosy i loved how there was no tv ...just a gorgoues place to relax unwind loved it diddnt want to leave. The cabins had a very warm feeling about them and there was everything in them that we needed to make our stay very relaxing. The meals in the restaurant were first class and the service was great. Peppers location is great for exploring Dove Lake. Our Pencil Pine Chalet was spacious and comfortable. Nice breakfast included in rate. Lovely general lounge area for guests. Lovely setting, with wildlife at your cabin door. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The rooms are quite nice, and it was nice having a fireplace in our cabin. The setting is great, the desk staff were very friendly and knowledgable about nature. They made up a second bed for us very quickly when we asked. Weather was good so we were able to enjoy the amazing walks - Dove Lake etc. The setting, the ambiance, the extra service at the Tavern when I asked for my soup to be reheated, they gave me another, hot one. Absolutely everything the cabin Cradle Mt. and the staff who were very knowledgable about the park. The weather, it rain & rain & rain..... :). The beds could do with updating and would be more comfortable with a pillow top. The bed pillows were terrible and need replacing. The room didn't have a hair dryer and in a cold climate I would have thought this was a necessity . All of these things I mentioned in the feedback on booking out. Would have liked the option to have a microwave in kitchenette and tv in room, otherwise was great. Some rooms have better views but no biggie. Perhaps ask reception if a view is a must have. Not a negative but rather food for thought. Everywhere is a view of one sort or another. The rain!! Had to find a negative really but if anything the inconvenience of checking out then having to come back to pay for goods purchased as a result of poor internet connections for transactions. Out of their control really I think. overpriced accommodation. The lack of prices on the fine dining menu The cost associated with the wildlife spotting tours etc. Didn't eat in the Bistro because it seemed very noisy with TV, etc. and it seemed a bit dated. Obvious signs of improving the infrastructure was let down with pieces of broken curbing, potted road ways and signs of previous neglect. Plenty of opportunity to enhance the "Eco" experience of the location. Having to leave. This was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Tasmania. Make sure you go to Devils @ Cradle. It was an amazing experience. There was nothing we didn't like. Can't think of anything that we didn't like. The pillows. Tavern Bistro meals a little ordinary and drinks expensive. Although a nice place, it felt a little overpriced for what you got. Our waitress at dinner was really hopeless; it might have been her first night, but other staff had to come to her rescue several times. The only reason it didn't spoil our stay is that it became a joke after a few minutes. None. Dinner in highland asked for affegatto at end of meal and told we could'nt have one kitchen closed no icecream available ( table of 6). The bistro, which served lunch, was not up to the standard of the rest of the facility. Food was of moderate quality and the extremely limited for choice. The long wait to be greeted at the main restaurant to be seated for your dinner reservation - both nights. It was Easter, they were full and seemed understaffed. The spa- over priced & didn't listen to what I asked for. The bed was really cold when we retired and the only way to keep warm was to have the heater on all night. No extra blankets nor was there an electric blanket on the bed. The reception staff were somewhat aloof. The very cold 11degreeC cabin that took hours to heat up Staff in the restaurant and tavern were not organized Main restaurant was extremely cold by the window areas Buffet breakfast was a 3/5 Tavern menu needs to include more small tapas. Tavern bar veggie burger - pasty and tasteless (but the meat one was excellent). No wifi in the rooms only at the guest centre, not always working well. The Bistro is too much like a canteen - harsh lighting, noisy. Car broken into through the night. Security?. room facilities can be renewed given it is supposed to be a high end hotel on that area. not much.

Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge is situated in Cradle Mountain, 8 km from Dove Lake. Cradle Mountain is 11 km away. Free private parking is available on site.
