  This was by far the best hotel we have found in San Diego. Luxury for a very reasonable price! The staff was wonderful, our room was fantastic, (corner king), the food was good (pulled pork was best I've had in ages!), and the views were gorgeous. I loved how close it was to so many areas of SD. The pool area (with the firepits at night!) looked wonderful, but it was so windy so we didn't stay. I also loved the old pictures throughout the hotel. If you are from SD it was particularly super to see them.

  The room we were given was 301 which is on the corner of the building so we got two windows to see the beach! We had booked an ocean view room and the view from our balcony was of Scripps park, a cave, the beach and all the silly sea lions and pelicans. The rooms are a little out of date in style but they are comfortable and the breakfast is borin... was die leute sagen » g but is served on the roof!!! The staff here is amazing...we were driving around San Diego and not familiar with the area and they were always happy - The location couldn't have been better; I liked that they had a ready supply of fresh coffee in the lobby and that they had bathrooms on a couple of floors so we didn't have to go all the way back to the room if we were already out; the balcony and view were all they promised and the beds were comfortable and clean. They held our bags for us before and after check out and that is big plus for us. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay there again soon and probably for years to come.

  The front desk help was excellent. I also loved the cleanliness of the room and the view was simply gorgeous. When I told the front desk that my wife was having surgery the next day at Scrips Hospital she changed our third floor room to ground floor very near the entrance, very nice. The people were very friendly and nice, the breakfast was outstanding. The rooms were clean, with microwave, refrig, and coffee pot in every room. This will be the place I will be staying from now on, as I have to come to San Diego, at least every 5 weeks.
