  Excellent staff that seemed to be genuinely interested in making my stay as pleasant as possible. Although still going through a renovation phase, the Lancaster is a well appointed historic hotel with excellent access to Houston's theatre district and good quality restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was a full buffet rather than a continental breakfast. The complimentary shuttle service was fast and the drivers very courteous and helpful. There was a free wine hour in the evening and room service was prompt. This was the very best experience I've ever had at a hotel!

  I liked the convenience of the hotel and its proximity to the Austin airport. I had an early flight and the hotel staff ensured that the shuttle was on time. I also appreciated that the breakfast buffet was available even for those who were leaving on the 5:00 am shuttle.   My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the beds were so comfortable, I didn't want to leave.   I was highly impressed with the Days Inn and Suites. When I walked into my room, I could not believe all the amenities such as an iron, microwave, and refrigerator. These are things that you seldom see in motels. I also was impressed with the breakfast hours and choice. The time, 6:30-9:30am was convenient, especially for my "sleep in" attitude. Also, it only took me 12 minutes t - I live two hours from airport and had an early morning departure then very late return flights. This hotel is very convenient, economical, and offers free shuttle as well as free parking. Room 214 was extremely clean and I judge this by whether the baseboards are also clean. The young lady Karen?, was extremely kind and was on duty both nights I stayed. She was also an excellent shuttle driver.

  I got in very late from Weatherford, tx the first night and when I got back to the Baymont on the 18th I checked in for my departing flight on the 19th at & while doing so left my gps at the computer station.   Being close to the DFW airport and having a free 24 hour shuttle was my reason for choosing the hotel, and the staff made it feel like visiting family between flights separated by a day. The shuttle driver was prompt and gave me a bottle of cold water and then the front desk clerk handed me a warm chocolate chip cookie as I registered. After del... was die leute sagen » ayed flights and an after midnight arrival at DFW, I felt the stress melt away--thanks to the staff. - The food in the restaurant is terrible as was the service in the bar. Perhaps this was an off night but when we complained the bartender just shrugged his shoulders. Management made no effort to remedy the issue so my overall opinion of this hotel will be greatly diminished. I think when you bring it to the attention of management they should at least respond.
