  Loved the atmosphere on the grounds with the open-air lobby and tropical landscaping. The on-site restaurant had excellent food and a view of the pool and ocean. The tiki torch lighting in the evenings with the sound of the conch shell and great entertainer was also very memorable. All the people in the resort were very friendly and welcoming. It was a really nice touc - We liked how close we were to the beach. I left my sliding glass door open all night so I could hear the ocean. Very soothing. There are a lot of places to stay on Maui, I feel that I stayed in the best location!! Easy to get in and out. Hwy 30 just down the street. The staff made it extremely easy to come and go. They weren't pushy, but available when you needed them.

  The Modern is a fantastic place to stay. This was our second trip there and we loved every minute. Its easy walking distance to the Mall and in - Super friendly staff-from desk clerks to runners to room service; the room was modern and tasteful, great for work, and very comfortable and peaceful; the pools are lovely; room service was great; above all, it is a beautiful boutique hotel which is much nicer than any surrounding accommodations and for a better price. I couldn't recommend it any more highly!

It really is quite impressive. Lots of things to do. You really don't ever even have to leave the resort. But if you want to one of my favorite beaches Hapuna is right up the road. I also really liked the products they had in their bathroom so much so I bought some to take home with me.

  This is Hawaii's Hawaiian Hotel. We had a room on the main floor, garden view, room 178 (smoking outside). It didn't face the large area of the garden, but it did have a small garden outside our room. We enjoyed it more because it was secluded. You could see the ocean through the trees. Many lounge chairs on the grass area and under trees. It is a 5 m - The Ka'anapali Beach Hotel is built upon traditional Hawaiian values and friendliness. The staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel sponsors a cultural enrichment and community give-back program that encourages its employees to honor their Hawaiian culture and to participate in community ventures.   It's an older resort but that is not a problem at all. Fabulous resort facilities, very clean and comfortable room (partial ocean view) with great service. You can't swim in the ocean directly from the hotel but it is such a dramatic location as the resort is positioned directly on lava rock. Views of the ocean are stunning. A hire car is a good idea. - Beautiful location, spent the most of my time at the resort because it was so beautiful and relaxing. Amazing pool to sit back with a Mai Tai and watch the sunset. Watched the manta rays feeding and ate delicious 'spider shrimp' at Rays on the Bay. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again myself
