  The location in the Garden District was within walking distance of the lovely antebellum mansions and great restaurants. The streetcar was right outside our door. We would highly recommend this hotel and would return in a - We booked at the Avenue Plaza at the last minute because our reserved hotel room elsewhere had a broken pool. For $10 more a night, the amenities were more than doubled. We were so happy with our stay at the Plaza I will book there every return (business) trip. It is worth not "shopping around" to stay there.

  Nice clean hotel within walking distance to convention center, wwii Museum, buses, streetcar stations. We walked to French Quarter and it was a nice 10 ~ 15 min walk. Our room had a king bed, sofa and desk area, kitchen area w/small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a sink. It was tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious. If you was in bed you can turn the tv towards the bed, if you was on the couch you can turn the tv towards the couch. I love It!!

We also loved that breakfast and was served Monday each morning, and dinner was served Monday thru Thursday for free, with very good hot and enjoyable meals.   First of all, the location is perfect! We were able to park at the French Market a block away for $20/day. The owner was super friendly and helpful, and you could really tell he wanted us to enjoy our stay. We will definitely try to stay here when we return! - The property is an eclectic mix of old and new but with modern kitchens & comfortable furnishings. Also just steps from all types of shopping and dining. I will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I were traveling with our adult daughter, so we chose a studio style suite which had a separate, private, bedroom and a sofa that turned into a bed.
