  This very low profile hotel is the best kept secret in hollywood. At first sight it doesn't seem to be the best choice. Yet in my opinion it is. I've been around la for a while in the various neighborhoods and in many different hotels. And the "Super 8" without the slightest of doubt was the best offer quality-pricewise.   I loved this place. The girl was old and out-dated, but I didn't hold it against her. Because she was built to last. And the current owners keep her impeccably clean and well-maintained. The maids made sure our rooms were refreshed each day as we were there for a week. We took the free shuttle to dollar rental cars and picked up our car there, from there it was in the same block. ( you can jump on this shuttle even if you didn't rent a car there.
