The rooms are very comfortable for their size, very modern and clean.
The hotel's ambience, while trendy and modern, remains unpretentious and warm - great choice of music. The small size of the overall hotel (55 rooms) allows them to take good care of their guests.
Nice location (SoHo, NoLita, Chinatown). Easy to get around by foot, and to various subway stations.

Liked the green glass serenity in bustling China Town and the wall of
windows looking out at New York. The rooms are compact but luxurious,
the bathrooms are huge. Everything is still shiny and new and
it's a bargain. The location is fantastic for those who want to
explore downtown from the wtc to China Town to Soho and the Village.
It's surrounded by lighting stores, restaurant supply outlets and
Chinese restaurants and stands. It's still a bustling ethnic part

I liked the location of the hotel, the room was nice with a very comfortable bed and pillow and great view of the City from the 20th floor. The staff were very good also. We upgraded to the Sheraton Club on the 21st floor which was nice, it had a great view of the City and Hudson River. It is not a luxury hotel but is very comfortable and affordable.

A very nice hotel, extremly nice staff (among the best I met). A calm and attractive place to stay and rest after a hot New York/ Manhattan day. Nice bar and a very good restaurant in house. Always fresh water and some nice snacks every night in the room. Stayed 8 nights and will gladly come back. A summer stay when the out door terrrace is open.

From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by a friendly and professional staff named Joe. We had called earlier that am prior to boarding our flight to get an early check in time with success. This hotel was exactly what we were looking for with less volume of people in and out of it for the NY Marathon weekend. The restaurant right next door had nice organic food choices and we loved that we did not have to go out in the cold and could walk straight through the lobby to dine.

The in-house restaurant, Blue Ribbon Sushi, was absolutely and almost surprisingly delicious, and the ambience made the experience all the better. The Holiday Inn is not spectacular but worth the money. I had Room 301, the biggest one on the floor. Very comfortable bed, enough space for your stuff and very clean. I have been many times in NYC and the Lower East Side has become a hot spot, therefore the location of the Hotel is also good. Subway is only 2 blocks away. Very friendly staff and the restaurant in the basement is serving an outstanding omelet :-)
