  The staff was more than helpful. On our last morning, when running to the car to grab something, realized it had been towed!! The front desk helped calm us down, while providing instructions and directions on how to find our car. Kept our room for us until we were able to get it and return. Plenty to do right around the hote - I received a very warm and friendly welcome from Ana in the Chelsea Pines Inn, and all the staff there were charming and lovely throughout my short stay. The location of this Inn is excellent - a few steps away from an underground station, Chelsea Market and the High Line. Small touches like complimentary water and printing facilities makes Chelsea Pines Inn compare favourably to more upscale places I stayed in ny (where they were charging $8 for a small bottle of water!).

  We live 60 plus miles from the city and have come in often for weekends and stayed in numerous hotels over the years. This is by far the very best experience we have ever had and I will never think of booking any other hotel.   We (young couple - 28 yo) stayed in this hostel during one week to visit ny. We spent a very nice time at this place. The bedroom (economy-cheap) was little but nice, confortable and clean (queen bed, sink, mirror, window). We had a shared bathroom always clean and available (morning and evening) ! The breakfast was very nice (cereals, some fruits... was die leute sagen » , bread, bagel, hard egg, jam, butter, honey, tea, coffee, milk, juice ...). The location was perfect to visit Manhattan, very close to metro, between - Frankie at the front desk was wonderful. The location was very close to the 8th avenue subway station which was a nice line to ride and see the city. The breakfast was delicious and the other guests were friendly. The water pressure in the shower was good (a plus for me). The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job cleaning the room daily. Very quiet during our stay both from other rooms and from the outside. There is a grocery store on 8th ave between 22nd and 21st (2 minute walk).

  They do not have elevator, the internet is only in the lobby and the breakfast is too simple, but almost all of this are cited in the hotel description. So, I recomend this hotel because it was exactly I expected. My bad grade to the cleaness was because of the bathrooms. However, it happens because of the guests (some people do not know how to sh... was die leute sagen » are a bathroom without leave everything dirty), not due to hotel team. The room is cleaned every day, and the hotel have new painting and clean halls - Friendly guys at reception, possibility to leave suitcase there after check-out (for $4), there was even breakfast included in the price (very very basic though, but all I need in the morning is a coffee to get me going :-), easy to meet fellow travellers (the people staying there were all really communicative and friendly and interesting to talk to) in the lounge, which is the only place to get free wifi on your mobile or laptop in the hostel

  I was attending a conference at NYU. The hotel is right at the heart of NYU and so was a convenient location for me. The beautiful Washington Square Park is just steps away from the hotel. I like that the hotel is situated in a safer and quieter part of the city, yet within easy reach of the attractions in the city. They were knowledgeable and prompt in responding to requests, as well as generous with recommendations for places - My sister and I traveled to NYC for an event at NYU. I loved the location being at Washington Square. We walked to dinner each night at small ethnic restaurants. The free breakfast was a great addition- coffee was very good. Loved the look and style of the hotel. Staff was amazing and VERY accommodating. After traveling to NYC for years and staying in Midtown - this was so much more fun and the room was the quietest I have ever had and the bed was comfortable. Cant wait to go back to the villag

Coffee and cakes available throughout the day and evening. - Loved our short stay here. Great location and charming inn - more like staying in a home than a hotel, which is especially hard to come by in New York. We had large, comfortable room on the main floor. Friendly staff (and friendly cat!), cozy breakfast room. We liked the bar downstairs as well. We will definitely come back here another time.

  The staff was very friendly, the pictures of the hotel is real: "What you see is what you get" - The beds are comfortable, rooms has a good size for a hotel in Manhattan - Clean and nice! The bar is open til 02.00 and has a smoking area. There is free coffe in the lobby in the mornings, and fresh water and ice tea doing the day. Staff is helpful... was die leute sagen » and smiling. All in all it is a really good and nice hotel to stay in. It is quiet at night time, and is therefor both family friendly as group fri - The staff were brilliant. On check in we discovered another persons luggage in our room. They promptly removed that and then put us in another room....along with 3 free breakfasts, cocktails, beer and food! Gave us a late check out at no extra cost and the bar staff are very friendly. A great, clean comfortable room and not far from the sights or subway. I would stay again.
