  The hotel is along the canal and central to everything Waikiki plus the price is right! They upgraded us to a one bedroom even though we hadn't requested it. Nice. If you are expecting a 5 star this is not for you. It is an older walk-up but the family owners are very nice and the service was personal (knew our names and when we were gone or in... was die leute sagen » ).   The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the air conditioner in my room making clunking sounds when turned off and I was all prepared to demand a new room, however, after reporting it to the front desk it was fixed by maintenance by the time I returned in the afternoon. Considering the price of other hotels in the area it was good... was die leute sagen » value. It contained the necessities. - Staff were really friendly and got an upgrade on our room which was nice. Room was massive and had a bit to sit outside although it was just overlooking the street outside. Good watermelon water at reception on a hot day! Close enough to the beach without paying beachfront prices.
