  The people at the Front Desk were beyond respectful. The beds were so comfortable, and the room was very cozy. The Television is not perfect resolution, but to have a nice size flat screen in the room was a bonus. My son stuck something in the heater which caused it to stop working, and the Manager was perfectly fine with it.   We had the 2 bedroom suite. We loved that it was 2 levels and the kids could be upstairs with their own bathroom. The suite was as nicer than some apartments, I've lived in. I loved the full kitchen. It was a big help during our 1 week stay for feeding our 2 and 3 year old. The staff, even the housekeepers, had great attitudes and were friendly. - Very friendly staff. Very accomodating to my every need.   My husband and I stayed at the JW Marriott in Grand Rapids the night of our wedding and the day after as well. When we checked into our room, we had a bottle of champagne, food and a nice card from the staff waiting for us. The service was superb and exactly what we anticipated.   We traveled with our family for Grandson's Hoop Shoot Competition. The hotel was very full. The pool/ waterslide is small but our grandson's enjoyed it. On Saturday, the slide doesn't open till 3:00 but since there were so many kids there (due to the hoop shoot guests), they opened the slide at 1:00.   A truly enjoyable experience. We arrived at 11:30am for a 3pm check-in and were able to get a room (with a river view) right away. The room was clean and so comfortable. There were plenty of towels, extra pillows and blankets right in the room. The location is perfect for an evening downtown and parking is convenient.
