the price, pet friendly, the microwave, the ice, the location (convenient for restaurants, grocery store, shops, parks, mountains, lakes, easy to get to and from highway). Convenient location, close to many restaurants. Good value, cheap place to stay if you're staying for shopping in Bellingham. This is a truly pet friendly motel. Inexpensive, clean and no surcharges (one place wanted $50 a day surcharge for our cat!).

Price was okay, but you get what you pay for. Managed to accommodate our request for early check in. I liked that it was within a mile of my primary destination and next to the freeway. right off the freeway easy to find close to restaurants. close to shopping good water pressure in the shower. It was there. Easy access. Nothing, Cheap. nothing. Nothing. lack of kitchen facilities. Beside highway, very noisy, thin walls/door. No fridge in room. It's a minor extra and this is one of the few hotels I've stayed in over 20 years that doesn't have one. Not a thing!. Room 111 needs some draino, drain was slow. Staff at desk was difficult to communicate with--may have been language barrier, but she seemed angry when I asked for assistance with connecting to WiFi. I wasn't mad, so why should she be? Once I did connect, the signal kept dropping. I don't mind paying for a service (WiFi) but it should go at least as smoothly as it does in hotels where it is free. The pool had no water in it! Sounded like the owners were taking their sweet time in doing repairs. Disappointing for the kids and I feel like false advertising as their website should be updated saying this. Noisy rooms right next to highway. Have to pay for WI-FI??. Location. A little far from shopping and city centre, and backed on to I5 interstate highway so it was a little loud. So one entered ouur room when we were out and the front desk person did not follow up with me! I felt like we couldnt leave anything in the room. Very inconvient. dirty smells like an ashtray gross. There was only one towel in our room. My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights- maids did not do a good job. We had to pay for wifi and only one device could be used. the thin walls - you definately get what you pay for at this motel. cheap and I probably won't stay there again. We reserved a non-smoking room. The room had an ash tray in it with a no smoking sign on the ash tray, huh? The room smelled terrible and obviously was smoked in all the time. Total deception and misery on our part for the night. I have photo's if your interested. Service- We arrived at 2 (check out was advertised for 1pm) and the room wasn't ready. We didn't get into it until 5. The staff was not apologetic until I mentioned that it was an inconvenience, to say the least. We had our dogs with us and so we were tied to both watching our stuff in the car and them at a random park, just waiting. It was pretty annoying.Our shower floor was also pretty grimy- I wore my flip- flops in it. Our Non-Smoking room smell like an ash tray, it was gross!. Right next to Interstate 5, Scary, Dated, noisy, small, Shower to small for me to take a shower etc. etc. etc. The noise from the freeway was terrible, even with high power earplugs for the shooting range it was too loud to get any sleep. The bed blanket/cover smelled like wet dog and dirty socks. Carpets stained (probably dog pee). I got many flea bites. This is not a hotel - it is a dog kennel. No amenities at all and you have to PAY for Wi-Fi. Extreme highway noise,No shampoo,no hairdryer,no fridge,no alarm clock,no microwave,no continental breakfast,tiny T.V.,Tiny room Tiny beds,same price as a good motel in Bellingham. The room was too close to freeway,the double pane windows and the secure door hardly stopped the fwy noise,it was a horrible night.I had two rooms and nobody got any sleep, plus,the room smelled of smoke and the staff did not ask if we wanted a non smoking room.I did not get my moneys worth at all. This was the worst motel I have ever stayed at. Ever. Even for a "budget friendly" location...this was bad. The room smelled really bad and in the morning it smelled like the bathroom from next door vented into our room. Not to mention the couple in the room next to us were very loud all night so much so that it woke both my 1 year old and 8 year old. I will never stay at a Motel 6 again.
