  We were a party of 2 couples with 2 rooms. When we checked in, we were told that they ran out of rooms with double queen beds, so both rooms were upgraded to suites at no extra charge. We certainly got off to a good start! Everyone at the hotel was always courteous and friendly and ready to help. As the person who picked this hotel, I was glad that everyone in our party was happy - Stayed at the Atlantic Oceanside's downtown apartment in Bar Harbor, The Song of the Sea. It was perfect! Centrally located downtown with a beautiful view of the harbor and Bar Island, it was perfect for our family of 5. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and living area was great and the washer and dryer was a added bonus. Decorated nicely, very clean and the parking spot two blocks away was great. Will only stay there on our next visit to the wonderful Bar Harbor/Acadia area!

  The staff were superb. The location on the Bar Harbor coast was unbeatable. The buildings and grounds are exceptionally well maintained. My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary and spent six nights at Bar Harbor Inn, and my wife has since told me that my selection of hotels was perfect. The lobster pie was incredible! - Great location, very clean, nice room, easy to park next to the room, great continental breakfast, great view of the ocean. It was a short walk to town. For picking it sight unseen (except for pictures on the Internet) we were very pleased with choosing the Bar Harbor Inn and delighted with the overall experience.

  First, the beds were great; comfortable, plush, lottsa pillows, quilt, and the room was pretty quiet (except for occasional footfalls upstairs, but, alas...).   My husband and I really had a great time at Mira Monte and would for sure go back if we visit bar harbor again which I hope will be sooner than later. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was super yummy, and we really loved our room. What I also liked about Mira Monte was if you wanted you could mingle with other guests or you could have you priv - The Victorian flavor of the house is perfect, right down to the antiques and decorations, our bathroom was updated and the little porch off the room was a nice surprise, as was the gas fireplace! The owner held a wine & cheese gathering before we left for dinner each night and entertained us with stories about the town and its history. Breakfast buffet was incredible with so many choices, including gluten free items! The walk to town was so close too. We loved it!

Good place to relax, also very close to Bar Harbor downtown and the bus stop to Acadia National Park. HIghly recommended.

Loved the free bus stopping at the motel to go to town, that was a great plus! A warning - The Bar Harbor Motel provided everything we needed for our stay in Acadia National Park. It was close to the village of Bar Harbor but out of the hectic and crowded scene there. We could get into the park without having to go through downtown. There was a light breakfast fine for our needs, good TV, a very nice restaurant and brew pub right next door, with prime steak specials each night as well as good local brews on tap and a full bar (the Jack Russell Steakhouse).   We loved our stay at Acadia. The staff was very friendly. A shuttle arrived every 30 minutes during the day and every 15 minutes in the evening to take us to Bar Harbor for free. From there we could take additional shuttles to Acadia Park and other destinations. The breakfast was a very good variety. There was a small trail b - Friendly welcome at reception, and pleasant surprise at our pretty, spacious room. The afternoon snacks put out for quests is a lovely idea and the breakfasts were very comprehensive and would suit everyone. We were also delighted to catch sight of the deer on the back lawn area one evening - a real treat. It was an easy location to get to, plenty of parking, and an short trip into the town area. We were so pleased we had decided to visit this area and the National Park was just lovely - also
