I have used Cross Keys 3 times and feel very much at ease there. The room has always been clean, the breakfast enormous and the host and hostess so friendly you feel as though they are personal friends. I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else when in the area. We only stayed one night, the room may have been a bit on the small side for a longer stay, but we were very comfortable,room was clean and warm and the bar was bright and cheerfull. Would definitely stay with you again. tony & eileen.

Friends of ours were staying in a hotel very close by and from what we saw of their rooms, we feel that we definitely had the better deal!!!. The staff were friendly. This seemed to be a family run place and suited our needs. The room was small but functional. The breakfast was very good. Our bed was comfortable and the heating very responsive. I liked the quaint and cozy atmosphere of the inn. I also loved Usk, with its beautiful flowers everywhere and its trails along the River Usk. The pub was very congenial and welcoming. Spacious clean room with leather settee and a large flatscreen TV. Comfortable bed. Lots of character inc beams. Good shower. Staff extremely welcoming. really friendly people - lovely breakfast and accomodating real sense of being in a very old place. fascinating old plasterwork on ceiling of bedroom. Breakfast was amazing. We were attending a wedding at a local hotel and everything was so convenient. Staff super, great value for money. Not all rooms are the same size. hit head on shelf when cleanign teeth but told owners who appreciated the feedback. Room was rather small but not really a problem. Nothing. some parts (not bedroom) starting to get a bit worn. The noisy road to the front of the Inn. Not many taxi's around to take you to neighboring places. Signs in the room saying there was a £100 fine for having take away food. Nothing really, but be aware that Usk is not a town where the pubs burn the midnight oil.. nothing at all. The shower in our room failed to work ?. Couldn't close window properly, though fortunately room stayed warm. Nothing. A Bit Noisy In Bed Room Due to Rooms Being Above Pub. Someone has to realise that Usk must be a large lorry free environment. It will kill the village eventually. Room was tiniest Ive ever been in! Bed was rather saggy. Communal corridors & carpets rather scruffy. Poor facilities in the room i.e. no chest of drawers or bedside lockers, no shaving socket in the bathroom, no fan or a/c in the bedroom. Extraordinary live loud music played until 12.15am directly below our room. Unable to speak to each other let alone sleep. I'm not sure if this is a regular Saturday nught event, but I think the owners need to consider whether they are running a pub / bed & breakfast or a music pub.
