Was die Leute sagen
Stunning location, quiet, comfortable, spacious, quirky rooms, some with balconies and terraces. Warm welcome, friendly staff, excellent service. Basic pub fare, generous portions, very reasonable prices. Breakfast acceptable but basic (no fresh fruit, etc). Excellent value for money.
The staff were amazingly helpful and went out of their way to make sure your stay was pleasant. The rooms were immaculately clean and very well presented. The views over the weir and the bridge were spectacular and very much worth the money, which in itself was very affordable.alle bewertungen »
I booked by mistake (Working in Tavistock not Tiverton!), although
normally 24 hrs notice required, lady manager accepted my genuine
mistake on the day and waived reservation fee, I said I'd be sure to
return to stay at a later date with my wife - looks very nice!.
The location was stunning and we could dine and look out on a river with a tumbling weir and a stone bridge. The food was excellent and the bedroom was quiet as it was tucked away round the side of the hotel away from the bar areas.
The riverside location is lovely, the staff were very helpful and the food (evening meal and breakfast) was very nice. Our four poster bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was one of the best I've had in a hotel bathroom.
Location was wonderful ,on the banks of the river next to a ancient stone bridge. Sound of water over rocks, otherwise very quiet and peaceful location.
Croissants at breakfast were delicious as was the bacon and eggs.
We liked the general set up at Fishermans cot, very informal come and go as you please, the setting is idyllic alongside the river Exe, just off the main road with a large car park.
Plenty of on site parking. Friendly staff, pretty riverside location. Clean & comfortable room, loved having own little outdoor patio area. Dog friendly. Great breakfast.
Beautiful location with new beer garden next to a river. Relaxation guaranteed. Other restaurants nearby, although we found the food quite good for a Hotel chain.
the staff were so helpful and freindly nothing too much trouble. the room allocated was exceptional and the location beside the river was quite charming.
There is a good atmosphere, the whole place is well kept, looks inviting and clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The location was lovely, the restaurant is right on the river and the food is great. Rooms were large.
Very good dinner nicely served. Wine (Viongier) very good value indeed. Bedroom very comfortable.

To the river Exe, the room was spacious with more than one comfortable chair.

Nice and convenient restaurant
lovely location near river
Good views
Delicious breakfast
Quiet.
The staff was friendly, the setting was superb, we were up graded to a better room.
The mattresses were a tad hard but saying that, of that's the only problem, it can't be that bad.
Nothing.
A pub garden table right outside our room window (No.5) and no hot chocolate or teabags in the hospitality tray!.
Nothing to dislike.
The menu was pretty uninspiring so we decided to eat elsewhere for dinner.
The town of Tiverton itself was not inspiring but the Hotel is quite central for visiting other wonderful places.
Our room was very hot in the evening & the shower room was quite cramped. The range of menu options for vegetarians is very limited.
Room 11 might be a little awkward if you are very tall.
1 or two minor things that wr took up with the staff who were greatfull to us for telling them, they told us it would be sorted very quikly.
Plastic cups in the bedroom...yuk!.
Nothing, it was a good stay.
The weather! Will have to come back in the summer!.
I thought the evening meals were rather expensive and apart from the curry all were served with chips.
Limited menu.
Nothing.
The external decoration was somewhat tired. There was an unpleasant smell in our bathroom. (Maybe the aftermath of flood damage?) Room 18.
The property looks in need of a complete renovation!!.
Nothing!.
Didn't like is too strong a term, but we noticed that the décor is showing signs of wear, although in a comfortable kind of way; a bit like an old pair of favourite old shoes.
TV didn't want to play but not a major concern.
The Weather?.
The shower in our ensuite could do we re-locating as anyone above average height finds it difficult to shower properly standing up.
Nothing.
No phone in room.
The room. It had a huge beam going through the floor at such an angle that it dominated the room. In addition the battery in the TV remote was dead, but a member of staff got the TV working, but couldn't change the battery in the remote. Finally the ceiling was so low in parts of the room, you were stooping as you moved around the room.
Nothing to dislike.
Lighting for reading wasn't the best in the bedrooms.
small biting insects.
Rooms need a refurb.
broken bedroom shower.
lack of maintainance water leaks in the main bar when it rained.
Nothing!.
Bathroom needs a shelf for sponge bags
Bed narrow
Booked a four poster bed on website but was not available on arrival.
The hotel is in much need of refurbishing. The out buildings with rooms were very poor, we were put in room 14, we could not stay in there it smelt musty and shabby.
