Was die Leute sagen
Very good location, right by the train station so easy to find. Nice pub, friendly staff (thanks for the suggestions made to us, we had a great time). Good-sized room and very comfy bed! En-suite with shower. Freeview TV in the room. Perfect base to explore Shrewsbury and had a great night's sleep with no disruptions from noise.
great welcome from the guy who we first spoke to when we arrived think he was the owner/landlord advised us of best place to park. gave us our second night for same price as the 1st after deciding to stay a second night. clean room. really friendly staff. alle bewertungen »
You leave the train station; turn right at the corner; and up about 3 or 4 doors - and you are there!
The rooms are immaculate; and for the location; quiet at night - and I slept well.
Super garden in the back - and castle looms over the garden.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. Prices of rooms and bar were
affordable and good value for money. Beds were very comfortable allowing
us to sleep soundly. Being close to the railway station, bus centre and
shops added to us being happy.
The situation of the Vaults is ideal for shopping and for access to stations. The first impression was not very positive but the rooms were clean and it was only a stopover for me. Could do with a makeover.
Nice clean and comfortable room.Good sized bathroom and quiet location at the back of the pub.Room looked out on to the castle walls and the beer garden which could perhaps be a problem in high summer.
I was staying in a single room for 4 days, general impression is positive - the location, the staff, the facilities were really great. And Shrewsbury is a lovely place, would be glad to come back.
bed was so comfy i have stayed in many five star hotels with not as good quality as this place, the tv was perfect the bathroom was a good size, people were friendly, couldn't ask for much more.
The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, great facilities and friendly, helpful staff. Great atmosphere. Also, great central location, lots of near-by facilities. 10/10!!.
The staff is just great; and the price is very competitive. Pictures on
letsbookhotel.com are not fair to what the room actually looks like.
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room and was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very modern and spotlessly clean.
everything. i will certainly use this hotel again. the music played in the bar is loud but i found it easy to get to sleep...
good central location convenient for the city sights, and for transportation links (train and bus stations very close).
The location was fine as it was close to places of interest, and
shops, and cruise on river was excellent.
friendly helpfull staff, room was big and comfatable, excellent value for money and ideally located.
The room was nice and very clean .had a few problems with heating on a night but soon resolved.
Great for the station..2 mins walk. Very comfy bed, lovely hot shower. Handy bar downstairs.
Locality to the shops. Very comfortable bed, much better than some expensive hotels.
All very straight forward. Was nice and quite but I did stay a Sunday night.
Just around the corner from train and easy walk into town. Very clean.
easy checking in, very spacious room for price and very comfortable.
Friendly staff. Nice homely rooms and great value. Very impressed.
Room very clean and tidy, good tv set and en-suite facilities.
Staff were very helpful.
Comfortable room.
Excellent value.
Excellent location for city trip.
Next to railway station.
Staff were willing to carry our luggage up the stairs.
Staff were nice, bed was comfy. It was dirt cheap.
Excellent location, staff, room, bar and price.
Nice clean rooms and right next to the station.
Friendly, approachable and helpful staff.
Very clean and staff helpful and pleasant.
Location is fantastic as were the staff.
Clean modern rooms and a great location!.
the location, price and friendly staff.
Staff atmosphere friendly.
location, band, tidyness.
price.
It was what it was, a pub with rooms above, we stayed early in the week so it was quiet. It was central to cafes, restaurants and shops.
The location, price and staff. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The roof terrace was great although the weather was not.
The room was clean and the bed comfy.Ideal for shopping or visting the local area.
The location was very voor, real close to the historical centre of the city.
the bathroom was spotlessly clean.the bed was comfy.
The Vaults has a good location and friendly staff.
Clean room in a good location.
Cheap and cheerful.
Good Location.
A few touch ups could really make this room look nicer e.g. fix the bed-side lamps, fix the window as I was worried this was on the verge of breaking! Maybe put in some air fresheners for the bathroom as it smells a little musty. None of this impacted on our stay but would help attract a wider variety of clients.
knew it was going to be a loud pub.. didn't bother us but if you go expecting an early night think twice! rooms and stairs up to the rooms could do with updating and a lick of paint but at the end if the day you get what you pay for.
The trip up the steep stairs to the room - BUT well worth the stait climbing, in the end!.
The steep stairs up to room...BUT well worth the trip!.
Being an ex hotel manager I looked around the room (room 7) and found
the following: electric connection box cover was loose on one side and
cover was hanging down slightly, a piece of the mirror frame was lifting
on the top, shower would not switch on, window would not open. These
were raised with staff when checked out.
The only disadvantage to this venue was that my elderly father found the stairs a bit of an effort as we were right up the top.
Nothing to complain about.
We knew there would be loud music until late but it was loud and because of this I probably wouldnt stay there again. The bathroom was VERY tiny and we only had a very small towel and a bath towel between 2 of us.
didn't really see any staff, and as breakfast not included (no restaurant), it is hard to comment on this.
The fact you come through the pub to receive your keys and pay. At the
entrance to the Vaults there are undesirables hanging around, using
choice language. It would be good if there was a reception area.
Shower was nice but was too hot .couldnt turn heat down ?.
Just needs a little updating.
Winding stairs to the top floor where our room was located. Loud when smokers out.
So many stairs to top floor. My problem not the pubs.
Live band little too loud in bar but prob just me getting old.
For what we paid I have no reason to complain about anything.
Noisy radiator in room.
Too many stairs.
Windows were painted sash, defective and difficult to open. A previous client had left a bottle of orange juice on the outside window sill which was precarious and a danger to customers in the garden below; I removed it for peace of mind.
Nothing, it was all good!.
Nothing.
Noisey at night. pub stays open until 2pm.
Car parking but that is the same for any hotel in Shrewsbury.
Room was small for two people.
Nothing, great value for money. I can't fault the vaults!!.
Very small bathroom.
No parking.
needed parking info from website.
top floor room.
Nothing.
Was expecting to see live group playing instead was a disco.
The parking, 2 hours max stay, long term parking a bit of a walk away.
If we had paid more I would have expected a little more from the main bar area although having said that there were two comfy settees which was nice. The outside courtyard for smokers could do with a bit of a smarten up.
The bathroom was leaking and water was dripping throu the ventilation down onto the floor.
leaking shower.
the room stank of smoke and the towels stank of smoke no remote for tv
no hairdryer as said.
It's not a question of not liking but you get what is says on the tin, a basic room with no breakfast above a noisy rock pub at a good price for Shrewsbury.
Having to walk through a pub.
No parking or breakfast but did know this before booking.
Not allowed to take a couple of friends into the bar after 1:30pm. Beds were hard and not the most comfortable.
Very loud music until 2:30 from the bar down stairs. Although there is a small print detailing live music at weekends. I don't think this is made clear enough when booking.
It needs a total refurbishment.
