  It is a very unusual hotel! Run by a local authority which must be a very enlightened one. It is modern and has a wonderful atmosphere. There were lots of groups of children and adults enjoying the facilities both inside and out. The Bistro was very busy and deserved to be because the the staff were very attentive and friendly and the food was... was die leute sagen » excellent. The view from the dining area made our stay special with stunning sunsets to accompany dinner and watersport activity to watch during bre - The staff were delightful -unfailingly helpful and friendly, Beds were comfortable and our room had a lovely view overlooking the lake. Bedrooms are huge and it was very quiet at night. We were attending a family event locally, but it is a good value for money base for exploring Liverpool, which is only a short train ride away, or for exploring up the Lancastrian coast,
