However, the attitude of the staff was excellent -nothing was too much trouble and they were welcoming and friendly. Everywhere was kept really clean and tidy.Breakfast was excellent and included in the price, as was additional coffees, etc. Food selection was very good and at reasonable prices. Without doubt we really enjoyed our stay at the Woodman Inn. - Delightful surroundings, a charming building that has been sympathetically and recently restored to a very high standard. The Staff provided an outstanding service, ably supported by an excellent chef. The evening meal was excellent; terrific flavours and superb value for money, as was the breakfast. And if you like a good ale there are plenty to choose from. Very highly recommended.

  Right from the start ALL the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, a very welcome change from the chain type hotels. It was like stepping back in time with the atmosphere in the Inn,very homely and just right for the area. Food was very good.
