  Scots lady at bar who acted as receptionist and showed me to my room was very friendly and helpful. The room and bed were comfortable and the batthroom more than adequate. Braekfast was different as the hotel was being used by contract workers who - the judge by their conversation - were gutting or refurbishing a local building.
