  The hotel is a 5 mins walk from the sea front. And a ten min walk from the old village. We had a car- but there are bus stops everywhere and they seem to be very regular. The options for breakfast were very varied and even amended it to suit my needs. The weather was very cold and Gillian the owner gave us an extra he - Loved everything about it. Best ever breakfasts, with all you could ask for. The rooms were stylishly decorated and very comfortable and pleasantly warm when it was cold outside. The hotel is well situated for the beach, transport links and the lovely old village. Gillian and Andy, the proprietors, were very helpful in suggesting the nicest places to visit and how best to get there. All in all a great hotel.

  I cannot praise the Fernbank enough. The owner could not have been more helpful or hospitable. The hotel is beautifully decorated cared for. The public areas were very relaxing to sit in. The room I stayed in was spotless and very comfortable. Although I did not use the pool it was very inviting. The Hotel was furnished well and very comfortable, lovely gardens to relax in if the weather was good and a very nice heated indoor pool. Breakfast was excellent with a big choice and plenty of it. The Fernbank delivers a high quality of service and comfort and we would certainly go back.

  We enjoyed our short stay immensely. The staff were very polite and friendly. Excellent food, tasty, healthy, great variety. Room was very clean with a comfortable bed, central heating. The hotel is located in a very nice quiet area within an easy access to the station and the shops.
