  When I read the reviews on here, I thought this place is too good to be true but it wasn't! I had a beautifully decorated room that was really comfortable and clean, almost forensically clean! The sheets weren't just fresh, they smelled fresh!   I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Horizon. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. I thought the modern decor of the hotel was nice (considering it is an older hotel). Although we had an external bathroom, there were no complaints at all because the bathroom was really huge. Quite a selection of complementry drinks in the room. Free bottle of mineral water which is uncommon for bed and breakfast. The guest house is very homely and tastefully decorated. The much ravelled about eggs benedict is really awesome, a good selection of cerals and fruits too. No complains at all. Beautiful beach walking distance away.

  I booked this hotel for someone else to stay. Unfortunatly this person was taken ill during her visit. The hotel and staff were absolutely wonderful, helped her in every way, visited her in hospital, and collected her when she was discharged.   I liked the whole experience of staying at the Piersland. We received a warm welcome and were shown to the most beautiful room which had a wonderful bathroom almost as big as the room. The welcome in the dining room was equally as good and the food and wine were excellent.
