It was very modern & stylish. The staff from beginning to end were amazing ... So so friendly. We stayed for 2 nights but on the 2nd night we decided we wld like our 9 yr old Grandson who we were visiting in Edinburgh to stay the night with us. We asked reception if that wld be possible & within 10 mins a z bed was being set up in our room. We had a great weekend & will definitely be going back. My Grandson was well impressed also.. Hi - The location was great, not to far out of Edinburgh. There is a bus stop 50yds from the hotel and you can get a bus to Edinburgh which costs £3- 50p return. which is a dam sight cheaper than the £20+ it costs to park for the day. The Hotel staff are friendly and helpful the hotel is a very modern design and beautifully appointed. Don't be put off by the fact its next to Tesco's on a retail park, its just brilliant planning as if you are going out for the day you can go and get food to take with

  We loved this hotel. The owner and her assistant were really friendly, helpful and very informal. The whole atmosphere was very relaxed. Our room was very spacious, with a fantastic view of Forth Rail Bridge (a special sight at night with all the lighting on), and the bathroom was also very spacious. The building is one of those homely old houses.... was die leute sagen » There was no deadline for breakfast, which was also relaxing, and the breakfast itself could feed a regiment! Plus South Queensferry is a beautiful m - Location ; large choice for Breakfast ; amenities in the Bedroom; friendliness of the owner [ Moira]; comfortable and warm bedroom; ability to be able to park next to the RB or very close by. Great views of the Firth of Forth Bridge and a excellent selection of places to eat during the evening. Very close to the Airport AND to major motorway connections. Great value for money ! I know where to stay on my next trip to Edinburgh !

Room was spotless bed comfortable no need to ask for anything in room bath robes sewing repair kit tea/coffee fridge iron/ironing board wine glasses corkscrew even cotton buds/eye pads.Breakfast was delicious with a very good choice and price was excellent.Would highly recommend Priory Lodge to anyone thinking of a visit to Scotland. Central for sight seeing.

  We loved every minute of our stay at South Queensferry. My two children 9yrs and 8yrs want us to book to go back. The staff were so friendly and very helpful when my children couldn't connect to the wifi. Nothing was a bother to the staff, very helpful. My children thought it was Paul's hotel, he was always there to give us help and advice. Warm and homely. The room was huge and comfortable with great heating when needed. Very clean. Evening meal was excellent and excellent service. Special mention to breakfast and the hostess, Lee.   Incredible place under railway bridge which looks like a film set from a movie shot according to some Jules Verne book. It feels so very Victorian and British like no other place we have been to in Scotland. The pub has above average cook (at least for Scottish standards) and is meeting place for the local community which was another great experie... was die leute sagen » nce. The reason why we chose it in the first place was that it is just 10 minutes drive from the airport and inexpensive. But it was a true touristic - Apart from the breathtaking view from the hotel window , the whole place has a welcoming feel , with attentive staff making it a lovely stay . The bar area was lively and the meals were good value for money . The rooms have been refurbished and the bathroom fittings are all brand new and modern. The location is ideal as it is 5 mins walk , albeit up a steep brae , to the railway station with frequent trains into the capital . If you liked the film Local Hero then you will love this hotel !
