  My second stay at this hotel. This is a big old Scottish house and feels very special compared with many of the more "standard type" hotels I stay in when travelling on business. Breakfast was excellent with the finest presentation of a plate of porridge I have every seen. Lovely!!! Food and bar prices seem a bit high compared with room rates but,... was die leute sagen » overall, I was happy with value for money. Would certainly like to return. - The extensive and comfortable public rooms and lounges. The substantial area of the double bedroom. Good food and a well stocked bar. Attentive and friendly staff, (special mention for our delightful breakfast waitress) Drying facilities for fishing, secure storeage/cleaning facilities for shooting. Super grounds and proximity to the Abbey. The speed of response to a maintenance issue. See opp.
