  Arrived at Monties on a very snowy day and was warmly welcomed by a gentleman who showed us to our room. Our room (Room 7) was spacious and very comfortable, and warm (which was definately needed!) A cot had been provided free of charge for our 18 month old son, which was brilliant as many places in bowness and windermere do not take children. The B&B is on the main street in bowness 2 - Our room was comfortable, beautiful and spacious. The hotel is located right in the center of the city. Perfect location for eating, shopping, drinking, and walking around the lake. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are plenty of leaflets with ideas for activities around the area placed in the front of the hotel and on tables outside the rooms. Breakfast was served in a cafe connected to the bottom of the hotel and it was delicious! I would definitely come back again and am already plan

It was nice to have the little extras - cork screw and wine glasses in the room, access to a fridge and fresh milk and air freshener in the bath room. The location was excellent - quiet but just a short walk to the main road - What we enjoyed about this weekend was the lovely peace and quiet,location and an excellent place to stay. The owners ann-marie and paul were lovely and very informative of the surrounding areas.. arrived(a day late; due to really bad snow) to a lovely warm welcome,and a nice piece of cake! Fabulous location with free reserved parking. Within 100m of many excellent pubs, restaurants and bars. Bodegas wine and tappas bar just 2 doors down is a lovely place for a drink or a tappas meal. Jacksons bistro is just over the road and excellent value. Unfortunately the restaurant at Laurel Cottage was unavailable for our visit. We will certainly be returning.

  The room was very clean, and the bed linens immaculate. The bathroom was also the cleanest we found. We loved staying at the Mariners. - Relaxed, friendly atmosphere, staff at breakfast were exceptionally nice. I took 2 small dogs which were very welcome.

  We stayed at the Bay House some 12 months ago and enjoyed the location and we they decided to back this week. The place is now under new management who have only been in for 2 months or so, but are making a very good go of the place. We enjoyed our weekend as the Bay House Lake View Guest House is central to everything, pubs, shops, lake and roads... was die leute sagen » in and out of Bowness........Loved every minute of our stay - Maxine & Graham the new owners are very welcoming and eager to please, nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable room, very good choice of breakfast and homemade cake in the room every day which was wonderful bonus! Issued with a car park pass so no worries about parking. Easy walking distance to the amenities of Bowness but quiet at night, the location is excellent.
