  We booked into our standard room,which was well above standard. All was good until we found that the bathroom sink was blocked. The staff arranged for maintenance to come to the room. They were unable to fix the problem straight away, therefore the manager arrived and moved us immediately to a superior room with complimentary drinks. Will definitely stay again. - Absolutely loved this hotel! I booked the Malmaison mainly for the fact that it is a converted jail and that it was in a Lewis episode. It was a bit of a splurge & worth every penny! The bar was fantastic & both bartenders that we encountered were quite lovely! We were treated really well by both gentlemen. By far one of the best experiences I've had in a hotel in the uk. I would love to come back & spend more time.

The staff were all helpful and informative. The environment was cozy and warm which was greatly appreciated because the weather was chilly and wet. Would definitely recommend to others.

The Staff go the extra mile - they're most helpful and informative. The breakfast was ready at 8am when I said I would have it and served warm in a clean and homel - I liked absolutely everything about Cornerways Guest House. Carol, the landlady was so warm, friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Her attention to detail shows that she genuinely loves what she does. She gave us good advice and recommendations and helped make our whole visit a delightful experience. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Our room was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean. We booked 2 nights but enjoyed it so much we had to stay a third night.
