Great alternative to the likes of travel inns. Highley recomend it for younger travelers and great value for money. - This is a very funky and modern hostel! I liked the fact that it was located so close to the city that I couldeasily walk to major tourist attractions. I also appreciated the use ofthe free car park. - The Mercure Lodge Hotel, Cardiff is a great hotel based about 5 mins from the centre - An excellent base for a weekend in Cardiff. We have stayed here several times as it so convenient to walk into Cardiff City Centre without having to use the car. The location is great and having the Restaurant on site is a bonus. The room was clean and comfortable and staff were great and listened to my complaint about being woken early by the noise made by a "Party" returning at 4.30am !!

We loved our stay here. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. The breakfast choices were excellent, with some healthy options. We were allocated a massive double room, (which was also designed to accommodate any disabled guests with wheelchairs) The bathroom was also very spacious indeed - and was a wet room style, with a very efficient shower. The hotel is very conveniently located for the major shopping precincts.
