the hotel itself was great - what you would expect of a centuries old english pub. the rooms were of a very high standard and kept very clean. the evening meals were of a very high standard. the management, staff & particularly the chef were very accommodating. the area is stunning with many great walks to have.
A hidden gem with Prosecco on tap & delicious food, in beautiful
pictureque surroundings, what more could you need. We stayed in a room
in the cottage which felt quite special, the room decor is classic &
of quality, we took away inspiration for our own home. Fab place!. alle bewertungen »
The room was very well finished with lovely decoration. Bathroom facilities were great, providing shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The location was right in the centre of Hawkshead. The food is delicious.
Checkout was at 1100 hours.
Lovely and very comfortble Room. Location in the centre of Hawkhead village is very convenient to visit this part of the Lake District. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent. We certaily will return.
Eating in the pub area was lovely with a real fire and good friendly atmosphere. There was live music one night which was very good and not loud. Hotel room was classy and smart.
Bedrooms were lovely - stylish, modern and well-equipped
Ideal location in Hawkshead village (hotel provides free parking nearby), excellent base for visiting Lakes.
Loved the location of the Queens Head, The staff were fantastic, and the food amazing. Would definately stay again and would recommend to friends and family.
Comfortable and tastefully decorated accommodation set in a lovely country inn in the pretty village of Hawkshead centrally situated in the Lake District.
Beer & food great. Rooms good for comfort although shower over complicated & tv didn't work. Great location & free parking. Good breakfast.
Recently renovated room - done sensibly for the location and building.
Hawkshead itself is a good base and a nice town/village to wander around.
The food was excellent in both flavour and presentation.
The room was beautifully designed, comfortable and clean.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Good food and service. Comfy beds and a home from home feel *Room 3 at the front if the hotel was a lovely room.

Excellent location , friendly staff , great value for money .
Great location,good food,comfortable accommodation.
Location, food very good little pricey.
Liked the modern rooms in and old inn.
Friendly staff, lovely bathroom.
friendly,quiet, helpful staff.
Accommodation food location.
food,people and scenery.
there was nothing not to like.
No parking at pub, but permit provided for public carpark, but walk is
not too far. Book ahead for the restaurant, it gets very busy & we
were only just squeezed in.
There wasn't a lot of storage space for clothes in the room (I think we stayed in room 8).
Service at breakfast was a little slow.
No lounge area for residents
Food very good but a little pricey.
Nothing.
Wifi not available in the bedrooms only in the Inn itself.
Restaurant expensive, staff verging on the cool side apart from girl on reception who was good.
Car parking regime is sensible, but it would have been nice to know how it works in advance (the hotel gives you at check-in a sheet to display in the car that gives you free parking in town car parks).
Only one small criticism - the shower was difficult to get a comfortable temperature (very hot or cold) and the pressure was quite low.
Not enough choice in breakfast foods.
No bread rolls or croissants
No marmalade
Cereals and jam should be in individual portions.
Menu for evening meal was pretty limited.
Service in the restaurant was very slow. No bar to sit in just to have a relaxing drink.
There were lengthy delays in the restaurant and some food was served cold. It is poorly managed.
Leaving to go home!.
No negatives.
Nothing.
Needed a comfy lounge area especially for people staying over.
Stayed in room 9 the kitchen fans were very noisy from8.30 and didn't go off until 11pm. Which did spoil the stay when we came back early one night.
Nothing, apart from the coffee at breakfast.
Staff very young unfriendly
Let the place down
Poor service and front of house.
