  Staff were excellent, room was superb (however, admittedly we were upgraded from the outside studio so not sure what the cheaper studio room was like - if this room was anything to go by though probably excellent) - Excellent dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room and pleasant staff.

  We had our honeymoon in this hotel in 1972 and it was wonderful then. We returned some years later and were terribly disappointed to find the place so run down with many of the original features replaced or modernised. This time we came across it on Booking .com and saw from the website it was under new ownership and decided to try it again. We we... was die leute sagen » re greeted by friendly staff some of whom (as in most hotels) were not native english speakers but had a good command of the language and there were n - The location was spectacular. Right across from Loch Ness, tucked in close to some wonderful running and walking trails. Easy to get to and just 20 minutes from Urquhart Castle. Another must is the restaurant. Sometimes you look in other places, but the restaurant was phenomenal. The rooms are very nice with update bathrooms. The manager is really nice a personable, and made us feel right at home.

  What can I say about Mavisburn. Elaine and John were the best hosts we have ever stayed with. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were cooked fresh for each of us, and served with a smile. Just what you need on a morning.
