Farthingloe B&B - Fotos
Was die Leute sagen
The b&b was lovely. Very nicely situated a short way out of the hassle of downtown Dover. The proprietors of the home were more then gracious & very helpful and took a real interest in your travel experience. If we are ever back to Dover. Farthingloe b&b would be the first I book..full English breakfast was delicious as well.
Thank u for your hospitality.

very friendly owner couple welcomed us with a cup of tea,
we felt very comfortable there and can absolutely recommend this B&B, Breakfast was delicious with a lot of home made things. The 2 splitable family rooms were classical furnished what you expect from an english landhouse. we would stay again here, next time longer than one night to visit the close-by castle of Dover.
Derek and Jane were the perfect hosts. They welcomed you with a cup of tea and made you feel at home. The B&B was a renovated old farm house in a quiet serene setting. Short drive out of Dover but for the serenity was worth it. Would highly recommend. Breakfast was cooked to your liking. Will definitely go back.
Great location in countryside but near the town of Dover.
Lovely c18th farmhouse.
Derek and Jane make you welcome without being intrusive. Coffee and biscuits on arrival in their lovely lounge, lots of advice and maps about what to do, where to eat etc.
Large breakfast, loved the cooked meal.
Interesting 18th century Georgian manor house set on 48 acres.
Outstanding owners who bent over backwards to be friendly and
accommodating. Suprisingly close to Dover, Dover Castle, white cliff
walks and the Battle of Britian memorial. Great breakfast. Would return
in a minute.
Jane and Derek welcomed us with a cup of tea and a slice of cake. I was suprise that there was no TV in our room but overall my husband loved it. Lovely countryside and the towncentre is about 5 mins drive. The hotel is a listed building but we would defo go back again.
This is exactly what the weary traveller needs. Beautiful Georgian building in a parkland setting with ample parking space. Great ambience with comfortable antique decor but child friendly and above all a warm welcome from Jane & Derek. Will certainly go back.
We had a lovely time at Farthingloe, and only wish we had allowed more time there to do some walks and enjoy the surrounds. Derek and Jane are wonderful hosts, it's a beautiful house and the room was great. We will definitely stay there again.
Our hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly, they even upgraded our room to an ensuite. Rooms were so picturesque, beds were so comfortable, and shower was powerful. Breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we had in all of England!.
The welcome, the hosts, the breakfast was excellent, the location was great.... for us it was ideal. it might seem a little quirky to some people nowadays but for normal people with traditional values it ticked all of the boxes!.
We loved the location so convenient for the Dover Ferry.
Our hosts were very attentive offering us tea on arrival. Our room was excellent, very comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was superb. We would certainly go back.
The couple, who run the place are very nice, friendly and accommodating to your needs. The car park is great, right next to the entrance and plenty of room for any type of vehicle. I really enjoyed our short stay.
Lovely welcome from owners, enjoyed home-made fittings such as quilts, peaceful location only minutes from Dover, super breakfast available early (due to ferry schedule), fascinating history of building.
Great welcome with a cup of tea.
Nice place in the woods... just a few minutes from Dover.
I was in Ash room.. very comfortable with an ensuite.
Excellent breakfast.
The owners are very polite.
Very warm welcome by the hosts, it's like coming home or visiting your parents/grandparents.
Breakfast is good
Convenient location to stay the night before our boat trip (5-10min by car).
The warmth of the owners
The beautiful, quaint surroundings (especially the handmade throws in the bedroom)
The breakfast choices & quality ingredients
The distance to the port.
Very friendly couple/owners. Convenient for visits to the castle, etc. Quiet location. No dinner but that is available within 5-10 mins and great breakfast.
Enjoyed our stay.
A B&B run by an extremely nice old couple. They gave us a warm welcome, had a baby cot ready for us, gave us excellent restaurant advice. Overall we were extremely pleased.
The location - few minutes from Dover. A welcome greeting - with coffee
and cake. Lovely setting. Great breakfast. Will stay there again. Good
information as where to eat.
Lovely house, welcomed by hosts who were delightful, beautiful room, breakfast all locally sourced and delicious, only 15 mins from ferry, great stay.
It felt like we were immediately part of the family - what a lovely, personal service you offer! Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!.
Perfect B&B close to port of Dover, very nice staff, safe parking and close to steak restaurant. Also WiFi and good breakfast.
Champing hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. Lovely house ,good breakfasts. Excellent location for ferry terminal.
Very helpful, welcoming and friendly despite us bookng the wrong day and then leaving suff behind. Lovely cakes too.
The building, the attitude of the owners, the huge comfy bed, the breakfast, the grounds, the dog friendliness.
Proprieters friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful rural location. Interesting old building Excellent breakfast.
Hospitality great, we had a lovely friendly welcome on arrival and our family room was clean and homely.
The friendly owners and beautiful setting. Lovely house ideally located near the ferry port.
Location - Freindly owners - good book collection - lovely breakfast - good value.
Loved it's rural location and the owners.
Large &comfortable rrom.
No television in the room.

close to centre.
- very heartly and warm welcome with tea and cake
- enough parking space
- nicely located in the nature
- room (bridal suite) was big enough to house two adults and two kids in their travel cods
- breakfast was very good
- no TV in the room.
The couple that run the b an b are very nice interesting people and make
you warmly welcome with tea and coffee. The breakfast was nice in
pleasant surroundings. The house in its own grounds is unusual but could
be really nice.
Nice surroundings. Good Food.
Cannot lock one's room door.
As the building is old, you hear footsteps in the early morning.
No locks on the bedroom door!.
Having to share a bathroom, which was very basic. I wasn't sure, if the bathroom was available at the time I needed it and I also didn't want to occupy it for too long in case the other party needed it.
No significant negatives.
No keys for room and external door... so remember to tell them if you leave on evening.
No locks on children's door.
Everything was fine.
Nothing!.
nothing.
Nothing.
The bathroom was a it inhospitable.
The bed was not very comfortable but the owners said they will replace it and were glad of the feed back. Looking forward to staying there again soon.
Nothing.
n/a.
Shower inside bath. Had to step into.
Guests leaving at 6am in morning banging doors.
separate bathroom.
- not easy to find, maybe the website should give a more detailed description
- the room was not very clean
- the restroom was not cleaned at all after the last customer = thats a "no-go" and the biggest minus
- the bed is definitely to small for two adults (1,20m?).
The house is unusual, it is old and needs money spending on it both in
furniture and decoration. The room we had by request was an upstairs
room. There was no ensuite and the bathroom we had to use was communal
and on the floor below. The room needed a good clean. It was full of
cobwebs and dust everywhere. There was no tv, no information booklet, no
lock on the door. The bed mattress needed renewing. It looked a lovely
place but was very disappointing.
No locks on any of the rooms for security of possessions. We were told
that they trust all visitors. Bed was a soft mattress on a solid base.
Kept slipping off or rolling into the middle. 1 towel short.
