  The hotel was fantastic, close to the city centre but still had plentyof free parkin spaces. Rooms were great and very modern - In short, everthing.Although a solo traveller,i prefer a double room which was excellent.I thought the hotel was faultless.

The staff were very friendly and the hotel is within walking distance of the train station and Derby city center. The room was lovely - two double beds overlooking the golf course. Staff were very friendly. Lovely fresh omelettes made at breakfast - cooked while you waited - which was a lovely touch.

  The standard of cleanliness and its location was excellent. We were able to book a smoking room which added to the enjoyment of our stay. Nothing worse than standing outside in the cold . Because of that we felt able to maximise the relaxation factor and our room was spacious . Would definitely use this hotel again. - Claire in Reservations was very helpful and got us the right rooms for our requirements. Rooms were large, well cleaned and breakfast plentiful. Free internet was a huge bonus, nice to see a company not charging for something as important as wifi and the speed was good too. Perhaps worth installing a blocker for bit torrent downloads though. All in all, the hotel does represent good value for money.

Hotel called me a couple of days before we arrived to tell me the retaurant would not be open the night of our stay due to a function. No question was too much trouble to answer, they even helped with our choice of dinner in town. Again, helpful staff at breakfast. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas (nothing tacky, just smart). I would definitely stay there again if in the area.

  The owner of the apartment building greeted us on arrival and showed us our apartment for our 1 week stay. The apartment was well furnished with modern appliances. The garage was inside the building and secure. The kitchen had a small hamper of useful food and drink (coffee, Tea and serials). All in all it exceeded our expectations, we have no hesitation in recommend - We (family of husband, wife and two young kids) really enjoyed our stay at Luxe Self Catering Apartments. All the amenities were close by (some within walking distance and some a few minutes drive away). It was an ideal location and a great base for Alton Towers. We will most certainly visit them again and certainly recommend them to all our friends and family. The staff went above and beyond their duty to make sure our stay was comfortable.
