  Staying at James Cottage can only be described as a wonderful experience. The cottage is beautiful and family friendliness is not just a word but the case. It is him who makes a stay at James Cottage so relaxing and special. - Staying at James Cottage was like staying at the house of a friend or member of the family. What a wonderful older house with real character, an Michael giving us such a warm welcome to his home. Also 10 out of 10 for an excellent 'full Scottish' breakfast.   We were staying here as a group of friends and family. We found the owner to be very welcoming and friendly. The rooms at the Victoria were beautifully decorated with comfortable beds. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast before heading off home but have every intention of staying here again and would highly recommend it to anyone.   Friendly and efficient staff made it a treat to stay here. No matter how many shifts they worked they were always efficient and went out of their way to help. Cosy lounge for pre and post dinner drinks. Spacious, comfortable bedroom with all the facilities you could want. Despite a large number of families with kids staying at the hotel we did not hear them during the night. - All staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of different lounge areas available to relax in the hotel. Food was also very good within the hotel. Although the hotel was full, there was no noticable noise from other rooms.
