  We stayed for 3 nights last week, and can honestly say it was fantastic, wish we could have stayed longer! Very good food in the bar both for dinner and breakfast, we ate there every day, excellent selection, and so nice to see veggie options! The hotel was well positioned in Bournemouth with excellent facilities, 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Ideal fo - Excellent location - as it is only a short 10 minutes walk into Bournemouth. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and the fitness and spa facilities are fantastic. I made use of the fitness room, swimming pool, poolside jacuzzi, steam room and sauna on each of the days my partner and I stayed at the Meyrick Park Lodge. I would definitely recommend this hotel with its brilliant facilities to my family and friends.

The room (12) was large, well set up for a family of 1 or 2 adults and 2 children as there is a king size double bed and two singles, with a pannelled wall separating adults from children, whilst still being in the same room. Hotel very clean and comfy for a family break.

It's clean and breakfast was simple and easy to make. The bed my son and I slept in was comfortable and the rooms were warm. It's in a good location for the beach and resturants. Plenty of parking just down the road if you can't get a space outside

The location is also good, close to the sea and the centre (though we did hire bicycles, but I think we could have walked most things as well) - near the railway and coach stations,quiet location opposite a park, not far from the centre and the beach.   I did like the price. The hotel is in a perfect location, you can walk anywherr from the beach to oceanarium or bournemouth baloon within 5-10 mintes, there is asda and subway nearby. So you can easly get the essencial bits and bobs that u have forgoten to take for your holiday, or pop in to subway for a quick sub. Thats all about location from me... was die leute sagen » . Staff, comfort, location, cleanliness, fresh towels daily, in room tea/coffee making facilities topped up daily. Jorge was welcoming, friendly with good advice on where to go and how to get there. He prepared an early 7am breakfast and ordered a taxi for us on the morning of our departure as we had to catch an early train to London. Overall a very pleasent vacation and if we return to Bourne mouth we will definatly stay in the Shirley again.

  I booked two rooms online for the following night for myself and husband plus my very elderly parents. I requested level access if possible and Debbie was absolutely brilliant calling her other ground floor weekend guests to ask if they would mind moving upstairs - they didn't - and making sure there was a seat in the shower. Faultless! - The hosts, Debbie and Peter, were really lovely and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was delicious and a good price. I wish we could've stayed longer as it was a really lovely room with a huge bed and sitting area in the bedroom. There's also a communal area downstairs which is very homely. The beach is only a short walk from the B&B and we walked to Bournemouth beach in the evening which took around 30 minutes.

  I read other reviews after booking online and I thought I shouldn't have booked, but when we arrived I found it a nice budget hotel. Services are basic but not bad for that price. We were a family of 5 and we were given room 27 in the basement which was clean and comfy. The bathroom was clean. It payed off, check in took 3 mins maximum, hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, clean, and just what I needed after a night out in Bournemouth. Perfect hotel if you're socially visiting bournemouth's nightlife, or if you fancy a last minute stay. Like I said, I took a risk, and it payed off. I would defiantly stay here again.
