  A great and unique hotel. The rooms were amazing and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is a great base for Cumbria, North Yorkshire and the North East. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant has a good menu. Couldn't recommend the hotel enough and would definately recommend a suite if one is available. - You get what you pay for !   This is a lovely family run hotel, and we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. It's conveniently located right in the heart of the town, and has its own private car-park. Breakfast was cooked to order, and was really nice quality. This is a very busy pub/restaurant and the food was all home cooked adn tasty - Really lovely beds with crisp cotton sheets. Very comfortable. Friendly staff. Fabulous breakfast included. Lovely restaurant/pub in evening. Definitely more of a hotel/restaurant feel than a pub!
