  Everything! The staff were wonderful and the food excellent. - Felt more like a 4* plus hotel, not a 3. Nice details like great towels and fresh milk available for in-room coffee. Quality decor in room, nice bathroom too. Very convenient to town without being in it.

  We liked everything! The suites are perfect, with lovely appointments. The owners are exceptionally helpful and friendly. It's very very clean. It's close to everything at Waterhead and only a mile from Ambleside, with good bus service to everywhere in the Lake District. I'd return to the Lake District just to stay at the Quaysiders Club. - Great... was die leute sagen » location. I loved the couch as it was really squishy and comfortable. The shower was neat because you could program it to the exact temperature and pressure you wanted it. The provided coffee, milk, biscuits, and hot chocolate were _sublime_. The free WiFi was a great perk. Wonderful ambiance for small get-togethers.

  The location was ideal even walking up the rather steep hill became bearable after a couple of times. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were excellent and the owners went out of their way to welcome you and had a pleasant manner. We respected the other guests in the hotel and likewise. We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable, the en-suite was small but cleaned every day and breakfast was excellent with a selection of fruits, yoghurts, cereals, fruit juices and a full cooked English made to order.   Ferndale Lodge had everything we needed for a good price. We stayed in their 'small double' room and it is definitely small! But it had a compact ensuite bath and wonderful views. We weren't missing anything. Breakfasts were tasty and generous - a good selection of yogurts, fruit, cereals and full English breakfast fare. The staff were friendly and attentive and the accommodation was all around very comfortable - Stayed here with my wife for 2 nights, 27th and 28th July. Very clean comfortable room and bed, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. We would recommend this BnB to anyone visiting the Windermere Lake. Just a short stroll into the town of Ambleside and 1 mile to the Lake.

  Alison was very welcoming and helpful. Just having had a foot operation she was keen to provide any help needed. The room was quiet and the bed large and comfortable. The en-suite had everything needed, with a good shower & hot water. The whole place was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was substantial and not greasy. We brought our 'well-behaved' spaniel who loved the guesthouse and our host. The cooked breakfast was excellant. We were warmly welcomed, well fed and very well look after during our stay.   I loved the location, I loved the b&b, we had everything we needed and more. Gorgeous young family running fell view, cutest kids, 3 little girls. Didnt hear them once whilst in our room, was embarassed, my one yr old daughter was noisier. our first time at the lake district, was a perfect holiday. will definately be going back to fellview. br... was die leute sagen » eakfast was plentiful, couple were really helpful and welcoming go to the thai restaurant round the corner, ask to sit on the back seats were you sit - Simon and Lisa were wonderful hosts and took care of every need. The room was lovely, spacious and had every amenity. We especially enjoyed the fancy coffee machine just outside the room and the free parking space they offered, as parking in Ambleside comes at a premium. It's merely steps away from all shops and restaurants. A huge bowl of fruit, plenty of brochures and a fridge waited for us in our cozy breakfast nook. Our 3 days there were just lovely.
