Relaxed atmosphere, very attentive staff, overall a very welcoming hotel. Staff, hotel and food were excellent. Varied menu and good quality food and accomodation. Friendly staff and anice relaxed atmosphere. Nice place, well comunicated, good staff. Great pub with many beers... :-) .Parking in the door. Friendly staff, good choice of meals and good value. Setting and staff. The double room was bigger than expected, friendly staff, excellent food, very nice building with its history, quiet, beautiful enviroment, good value for the money. Very nice large room, clean and comfortable. Hotel seems well run. Good breakfast menu.Superb food, friendly staff. We got one nights stay for the excellent price of £44.50. I don't think the room is worth £90, but we were very happy with what we got for our money. We just used the hotel for overnight sleep, were out during the day, but the bar and restaurant area are good. Great value BandB. Location was quiet. Food was well prepared and of good quality. Staff were courteous and efficient.friendly staff, great breakfast, quiet room. Overall fantastic value for money. Food good standard. Hotel pleasant staff attentive. Size of the room and the food. It offered a rural retreat. Nice garden, Helpful staff. The bathroom, TV and the breakfast. Also a comfy bed.nice, friendlly staff, food good, room very comfortable. Good service from staff and the cosyness of the bar. The price. No internet, adress not very preciss. Is starting to get to the point where redecoration of the rooms would be an improvement. Food quality let the place down compared to its peers. Would be improved by use of good local meat, ground pepper on the tables and butter not margarine at breakfast.Didn't affect our stay or the comfort of the hotel, but the bedrooms could be modernised - dado rail, nasty wallpaper etc!. Towels were a bit hard.Would be perfect if the breakfast hours were more extended- 8.00-9.30 is abit short for a Bank Holiday. Location is in the country you def need a car (we did). Window in bedroom did not close and so noise from road not stopped.trucks delivering under my room early in the morning. Rooms a bit tired. The window catches were broken. bathroom could be upgraded a bit. I liked the open fires but the smell of smoke was overpowering. I was unable to set the alarm clock so tried contacting reception for an early morning call but there was no answer. The man who was on reception when we were checking out was very rude. It ruined our whole stay.
