  When we met with our condo owner Mr. Adem at the Taksim Square, he greeted us heartly and showed us our flat. The flat was just 2 walking minutes away from the square, next road to the famous İstiklal Caddesi. The flat itself was designed very well, with brand new and matching furnishings. It included everything we even might require. The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
