  The location was great with having the train across the street for access for day trips. You can also get a pass from the hotel for free train rides to Montreux and Lausanne. You ca - This is a very nice, very modern hotel in a great location. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous. They gave us free tickets to ride the train to Montreux and half off cards for Chillon Castle! The windows/door are very sound proof so even though it's close to the road and train station, noise is not a problem at all when everything is closed. The terrasse is a lovely view to have a drink and/or snack.

  We liked everything about it. Location was perfect. We were there for 3 nights for the Jazz Festival and La Rouvenaz is just a 5 minute walk to the center of the festival and across the street from the Lake (but off the main busy street).   We loved staying at Guest House Le Charlot. We would recommend paying for the breakfast as it included juice, a hot drink and a variety of breads and croissants - all for 9 chf per person. Appreciated the provision of kettle, tea/coffee, hair dryer (look in the bathroom cabinet!), fridge, fan. A turn of the handle makes the windows open fully. In the cafe below the rooms we had breakfast of ham, cheese, bread, croissants, jam and drinks. Saw several different staff but all keen to make us feel welcome and comfortable. A relaxing stay in a beautiful area. The circular boat trip and the Vine train are well worth doing.
