  The welcome especially as we were late arriving due to bad weather using the Portsmouth - Santander ferry. High winds caused long delays. I had cause to telephone for directions as I was close to the hotel but in the darkness was a little disorientated, no problem the owner came to meet me in his car as he knew where I was calling from.
