  We spent the day in San Sebastian on the worst of possible days: terribly cold, rainy, stormy weather and the famous strike with everything imaginable closed: no bar or restaurant open to get a drink or lunch! Then we got to pension Garate and a most helpful and friendly young lady who spoke English very well welcomed us. The lady booked for us dinner closeby at restaurant Narru (from hotel Niza- an - The room was clean and comfortable. We had a balcony, which was great. The accommodation was in an excellent location, very close to the beach, and walking distance to all of the sights of San Sebastian. The staff were extremely helpful. I was feeling unwell the day after we arrived, and the lady at the Pension directed us to a very good medical centre. The staff also agreed to allow us to pick up our bags late in the evening (after we had checked out), due to us having to catch a late overnigh

  This small hotel is in a quiet part of the town. It is very close to the beach & the old town where the eating is terrific. We stayed in an apartment which was very comfortable & serviced each day. The staff are very helpful & are very willing to have a talk & pass on tips about the town & the local eating facilities. We would ... was die leute sagen » stay again - The hotel is right in the middle of any place you want to see and do. The room was so comfortable, big, extremely clean and beautiful. It was nice not being right on top of the noisy tourist areas, to be a little out of it made us feel more a part of the city and locals, yet, it was near all the touristic locations.
