  The warmth of the owners was amazing. They really went out of their way to help. When the owner saw our walking boots outside of our room he gave me a map and described in great detail (in French!) his favourite walk to me, drawing a map. Breakfast was equally good and generous. We will return as a rural base for visiting Palma - The place is very nicely situated in calm and pretty surroundings. The staff and owners were warm and attending. The rooms are superb. Breakfast tasted lovely. We do not have such crispy bread at home. We could also pick as many oranges in the garden as we would like to, and such sweet and juicy oranges we have never tasted before. This is a place we would highly recommend to others. And be sure, we will be back

  This is a stunning hotel in a stunning setting. Surrounded by mountains on three sides with far reaching views across the countryside. Rooms are really lovely. The only comment I would make is that the location wouldn't be suited to those less able to walk due the rustic nature of paths. Fantastic food. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre.   A very pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. We took the half board buffet option and the food was good, well prepared and with a variety of options. The pool we used was extremely clean, large, with free towels, nice happy hour offers from 16:30 to 17:30 and almost always deck chairs to spare - the kids loved it! Wi-fi was £3 per day in room... was die leute sagen » , but free and worked well in reception. I couldn't test the in room cable with my ipad but was told it worked well with Ethernet and laptop. Gym is - Probalby the best hotel in Mallorca! It's actually apartments so you can cook in there (all amenities available) and supermarket Eroski nearby. Very good value for money if booked in advance and not in the high season. Extremely clean, good sound isolation of rooms, good fitness facilities, sauna and indoor pool. We really liked the animators, quite professional and entertaining (arranged for quiz nights and local dances). Overall, totally recommended!
