  We stayed 4 nights in the Bellamar apartment complex. Here’s what we thought: 1) Quality of the apartments. We stayed in apartment number 2 which was a 1 bedroom apartment on the ground floor (broadly representative of all the apartments - more on this later). There’s a kitchenette (room for one person) and bathroom, and an L shaped - It is ideally located for the beach. The apartment was very clean and the furniture comfortable with everything you would need for a self catering stay. The staff are especially helpful and friendly.

  Just got back and everything about this place is as good as earlier reviews say it is. I was tempted not to add comments so I could keep this gem to myself. We were staying B/B so cannot comment on the evening meal but the breakfast was excellent, with choice galore & as much (or little) as you wish from fresh fruit, cooked and continental br... was die leute sagen » eakfasts, omelettes etc. The hotel staff & their service is great throughout from the front desk, bar-staff to the nice ladies who clean the rooms - The staff are excellent: professional and competent whilst also friendly and good humoured. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre.   We paid £36 a night for a beautiful studio apartment. It could easily sleep four. Nice balcony. Absolutely amazing value for money. Our friends stayed around the corner at the Hotel Minamar and paid £130 for essentially the same room with a view of the ocean. We def. got the better deal. Checked out on Sunday morning and spent the day on the beach... was die leute sagen » with our bags at the front desk, when we picked them up, they offered to give us a hotel room with a shower briefly before we left, just for free out - We were very pleased with Flora apartments, just newly refurbished. We had a pool view apt on the 1st floor, it was a lovely, bright, spacious apt. Kitchen was v well equipped and easy to cook meals in - a brand new electric kettle and toaster, also a microwave Staff were very helpful and friendly. The central location is wonderful , only a few minutes walk to the seafront and lots of very good restaurants and shops etc.
